Scottie Wrestling Wins Glendive Dual, Take Four Top Spots at Dylan Humes

The Glasgow Scottie wrestling teams enter the final week of the regular season with a dual win over Glendive and four Dylan Humes Memorial Tournament Champions.

The Scottie boys beat Glendive 48-21 while the girls had two wins. The lone boys JV match was a win for Glasgow. In Moorcroft, Wyo., for the Dylan Humes Memorial Tournament, the Glasgow boys scored 123 team points for sixth place out of 29 teams while the girls finished seventh out of 28 teams with 105.5 points.

Chloe Lamb notched the first win for Glasgow against Glendive Jan. 21 with a fall over Irelyn Peoples in one of two girls matches. Jack Morehouse was the first Scottie boy to wrestle and to win. He won a technical fall over Jester Skye. Hunter Pierce earned a forfeit while Cody Kuka earned a fall over Brody Stroh. Alex Earll also won by fall, defeating Dylan McCoy.

Tyler King beat Kavin Thoney by a fall while Khye Gamas won a major decision 15-4 over Keenan Huber. William Kirkland took a 5-3 decision over Keaton Wergin. Leo Erickson won by fall over Dresden Allery in the only JV match. Lana Mason closed out the action in the second girls match with a win by fall over Irelyn Peoples.

Madison Lamb and Riley Clampitt both won the top spot in the girls tournament in Wyoming. Gamas and M. King stood atop the podium in the boys competition. M. Lamb won by fall over Bailey Mueller while Clampitt earned a win by fall over Kallie Bauer. Gamas won an 11-6 decision over Riley DeHaven and M. King fell Logan Mendoza to win.

For the girls, C. Lamb finished in second and Riley Pedersen took fourth place. William Kirkland earned a third for the Glasgow boys while Morehouse took a fourth place and Kuka finished in eighth place.

John Yeska earned a first place finish in the JV competition while Ernie Vandall took a second and Aiden Aune brought home a third place showing.

Glasgow wrestlers close out the regular season Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Malta Invitational. Competition which will begin at 9:30 a.m.
