Securing The Future Of The Hi-Line: A Call To Action

Greetings to the hardworking citizens of the Hi-Line. It’s an honor to represent House District 28 here in Helena, where I’ve been diligently working to advance legislation that benefits our communities and secures a brighter future for our region.

One of the most pressing challenges we face is ensuring the completion of the critical canal work on the Milk River Project. This infrastructure is a lifeline for agriculture, water access, and economic stability across the Hi-Line, yet the funding required to finish this work remains an uphill battle. While we are exploring every avenue to secure state resources, the reality is that substantial federal funding will likely be necessary to complete this monumental project. I urge you to contact your representatives and senators in Washington, D.C., to emphasize the importance of this work. Advocacy from constituents like you can make all the difference in ensuring our voices are heard at the federal level.

Here at the statehouse, the legislative session is in full swing, and on Jan. 16, we face what may be the most contentious debate of the session: the so-called “bathroom bill.” This proposal, like many others, highlights the deeply held values and beliefs that Montanans bring to the table. While these debates can be divisive, my commitment remains to represent you with integrity, ensuring your concerns are heard and reflected in my votes.

As always, I value your input and encourage you to reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns. Your perspectives shape my work, and I’m here to listen and advocate for you.

Together, we can navigate these challenges and build a stronger future for the Hi-Line.
