Glasgow Stockyards Report

The market report for the Glasgow Stockyards on Jan. 16, show 1,318 cattle sold

Utility and commercial cows brought in $115 to $137.50; canner and cutter cows $85 to $116; young feeding/turnout cows $130 to $184 and bulls $120 to $140. Bred heifers brought in $2,750 to $2,950; three-to-six year old cows $2,975 to $3,525; middle age cows $2,450 to $3,400; and short-term cows $1,800 to $2,500.

It was a smokin’ hot bred cow market, with the exception of some older/thinner short-term cows, every head stayed right here on the Hi-Line; Phillips, Valley and Roosevelt County.
