Nashua Teams Fall In Circle

Both the Nashua boys and girls basketball teams suffered a loss in Circle Jan. 10. The Porcupine boys dropped a 70-14 contest while the girls fell 77-7.

Boys

Circle went up 22-3 over Nashua in the first quarter and led 45-8 at the half. The Porcupines were shut out in the third quarter while the Wildcats hit for 18 points. Nashua put up 6 in the last 8 minutes, but Circle score 7 for the 70-14 Nashua loss.

Noah Leckie led Nashua with 8 points, hitting a three-pointer, a free throw and two field goals. Bubba Pugh hit a free throw and a bucket for 3 points while Blaze Bleazard hit one from beyond the arc.

Girls

The Nashua girls fell behind 27-3 in the first and trailed 45-7 at the half. The Porcupines were shut out in the third and fourth quarters as the Wildcats scored 18 and 14 in the same frames fro the 77-7 Nashua loss.

Dyllan Bergstrom hit a free throw and a field goal to lead her team with 3 points. Gracyn Sibley and Brittany Fuller both scored a bucket.

Nashua is scheduled to travel to Scobey to play the Spartans Friday, Jan. 17. The Porcupines host the North Country Mavericks Saturday, Jan. 18, with games beginning at 5:30 p.m. They travel to Frazer Tuesday, Jan. 21, with games starting at 6 p.m.
