Montana American Legion Boys State and Montana American Legion Auxiliary Girls State are immersive, week-long civic leadership programs that teach high school students about government, democracy, and the importance of civic engagement. These programs empower young leaders through hands-on learning, public service simulations, and leadership development activities.

What to Expect:

Leadership Opportunities: Participants are elected to mock city, county, and state offices, gaining hands-on experience in governance and public speaking.

Legislative and Judicial Simulations: Delegates draft, debate, and pass legislation while engaging in courtroom activities.

Mentorship & Workshops: Students learn from veterans, public officials, and civic leaders, fostering a deeper understanding of civic responsibility.

Networking & Scholarships: Participants can explore scholarship opportunities and build lifelong connections with peers and mentors.

Delegate Sponsorship:

The $300 delegate fee is covered by American Legion Posts, Auxiliary Units, or other civic organizations across Montana, ensuring all qualified students can attend.
