Fewer Sober Rides Given On New Year's Eve

A total of 99 individuals made it home safe and allowed others to get home safely on New Year’s Eve as a result of transportation services provided by individuals from the Valley County Search & Rescue, Fire Department, and local wrecker services. These individuals volunteered their time and their vehicles on the holiday, with support from the DUI task force.

According to organizers, this year was a slower year, however they appreciate all 99 patrons who utilized the services. The volunteers of Randy Isakson, provided 22 rides; Shyanne Whiskey Isaskon provided 41 rides; Jeron Wesen provided 21 rides, and Chris Leckie provided 15 rides.

This has become a yearly service provided to Valley County as a way to ensure safety on the roads during the New Year’s Eve holiday. Organizers are already looking forward to seeing more individuals taking advantage of the services New Year’s Eve 2025.
