Scottie Wrestling Attends CMR Holiday Classic

The Scottie wrestling teams hit the Fort Benton Mixer, the 47th Annual CMR Holiday Classic and the Walt and Trudy Currie JV Tournament in their final week of action before the holiday break.

Glasgow's varsity boys earned 89 team points to take 15th place out of 60 teams at the CMR Holiday Classic. They finished second among Class B/C schools. The varsity girls took 17th out of 56 teams with 67.5 team points. They took sixth out of Class B/C teams.

Michael King, 190 lbs., finished in fourth place in the boys competition. Jack Morehouse, 103 lbs., took fifth place. Khye Gamas, 157 lbs., and William Kirkland, 165 lbs., both took sixth place in Great Falls.

Riley Clampitt, 145 lbs., took fourth in the girls competition while Kylie Aho, 100 lbs., earned sixth place in Great Falls.

The young Scotties finished with a 19-3 overall record at the Great Falls High Gym at the JV tournament.

Weston Kirkland, 110 lbs.; John Yeska, 132A lbs., and Tyler King, 132B lbs., all earned first places for the boys. Lana Mason, 125A lbs., won first in the girls competition while Chloe Lamb, 125B lbs., took second.

Results for the Fort Benton Mixer on Thursday were unavailable at press time.

Glasgow hosts the 10th Annual Free Scottie Youth Wrestling Clinic at the Wrestling Center from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30.

The Scotties will attend the Duals at Custer County in Miles City Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at 2 p.m. Glasgow will wrestle in Havre Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at 6 p.m.

Glasgow hosts Dickinson State vs. Minot State Women's College Wrestling Dual Sunday, Jan. 5, at 4 p.m. A free youth clinic hosted by DSU will start at 2:30 p.m.
