Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Dec. 8 Meeting
Before our meeting was called to order we decorated outside the Nashua Senior Citizens Center for Christmas.
The meeting was called to order by Jaydeen and Reata lead pledges. Elise shared club history and talked about laying the foundation for 4H. We learned that the first clubs in 4H were called the Tomato Club and the Corn Growing Club.
The Lucky Clover Club was one of four clubs to earn a pizza party for enrollment in by November. Lucky Clover took fourth at Kiwanis lunch on Nov. 13- thanks Kiwanis for the award. Jaydeen’s steer was in the top five carcasses in the state and went to Billings for an award. We learned that steers today make 130 pounds more meat than 30 years ago!
Our club was also in charge of the float for the Parade of Lights- thanks to Bronwin for organizing, Jamie for driving us, and Kirkland Ranch for the trailer.
Winter Fun Day is Friday, Dec. 27, at 9 a.m. Fair dates are Aug. 5 through 9.
At the end of the meeting Lucky Clover members did a fun secret Santa gift exchange and made simmer pots to give to family and friends for over the holidays!
