American Red Cross Blood Drive Exceeds Expectations

The American Red Cross came to Glasgow on Nov. 19 and 20 to hold a blood drive at the VFW in Glasgow and then also hosted a drive at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital on Nov. 19. During both drives, the number of units donated exceeded goals, with 66 units donated at the VFW on Tuesday, 47 units donated at the VFW on Wednesday and a total of 44 units were donated at the hospital’s event.

During the VFW drive, both days the number of donors exceeded goals for a total of 27 additional units over goal, while the FMDH drive saw three units over goal.

Mark your calendars as future blood drives in the area include Feb. 11 and 12, as well as April 22 and 23.
