Glasgow Kiwanis Club 4-H Club Awards

The Glasgow Kiwanis Club presented its annual 4-H Club Awards on Nov. 13, to the top four clubs as judged by the Valley County Extensions service. This has been done for at least 50 years.

The first place prize of $100 went to Northern Lights, second and third place were tied so $62.50 went to both Western Valley and Cherry Creek 4-H Clubs, and fourth place was $25 to Lucky Clover 4-H Club.

Jaydeen Hanshew, from Lucky Clover, of Nashua, and Tate Allestad and Sheila Mason, from Northern Lights Club, of Opheim, presented the program at the Kiwanis Club meeting at the Cottonwood Inn.

Currently Valley County has 69 youth and 22 adult volunteers in seven 4-H clubs serving Hinsdale, Opheim, Nashua and Glasgow.
