Pearl Leola Haskin, age 89, passed away quietly in her home in Queen Creek, Ariz., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024.
A private family 'Celebration of Life' is planned for the Spring of 2025.
She was the youngest of four children born to Harold Raymond Bailey and Opal Marie Shafer on June 23, 1935, in Minot, N.D., where she grew up. Her older siblings were Dolla (Wesley) Knuth, Cecil (Tomoko) Bailey, and Clara (Ardale) Pyne.
She married Walter Fields on June 23, 1953. They had five children, Diane (Kenneth) Williams, Walter Fields, Donna Fields, Debora (Robert) Alder, and Ronald Fields. She later married Robert Alfred Haskin on April 19, 1965. They had a son; Charles (Nicki) Haskin in Glasgow, Mont., where the children were raised.
She was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She moved to Queen Creek in 1991 where she has lived ever since.
In Arizona she managed Christian Care Fellowship Square until she retired in 2001. She volunteered at the senior citizen center teaching seniors' how to knit. They knitted various items for disabled veterans overseas. She also volunteered at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center and enjoyed various arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; a niece; and two grandsons.
