Valley County Unites At "Unity in the Community" Event Hosted By Two Rivers Economic Growth

Community members from Valley County gathered on Oct. 29, at the Glasgow Elks Lodge for the Unity in the Community event, hosted by Two Rivers Economic Growth. The evening brought together local residents and a range of exhibitors, sharing resources and information that support and strengthen the area, underscoring the collaborative spirit of Valley County.

Attendees enjoyed a roast beef dinner prepared and served by local 4H clubs, whose hard work and hospitality brought warmth and community spirit to the evening. In addition to the meal, Two Rivers Economic Growth welcomed a diverse group of exhibitors, each showcasing the valuable services they offer to support local residents. Exhibitors included the Department of Labor and Industry, Wolf Point Job Service, C&B Operations, Milk River, Inc., Dawson Community College, SBDC and FADC from GNDC, Action for Eastern Montana, Montana Registered Apprenticeship, Montana Department of Transportation, Montana Health Network, Hi Line Home Programs, Torgerson's, Vocational Rehab, North Central Independent Living Services, Rural Eastern Nursing Expansion Program, Nemont Manor, Prairie Ridge Village, and the Valley County Council on Aging.

"These partnerships are key to creating a thriving, resourceful community," said Executive Director of Two Rivers Economic Growth Shyanne Wallace. "Seeing everyone come together to share information, make connections, and find support was truly inspiring."

To further support community growth, Two Rivers will host an upcoming workshop titled "Leadership and How to Thrive in 2025" with Shane Etzwiler of Northwestern Energy on Wednesday, Nov. 13. This event is free to attend, thanks to the generosity of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Prairie Ridge Village, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, and AgWest Farm Credit. The evening also included a door prize drawing, awarding Kelcie Bates, Joyce Morehouse, Brenner Flaten, Dinae Settoon, Colleen Forrester, Jeff Alsberg, and Lisa Baxter as a thank you for their attendance and engagement.
