The Lions volleyball team split their last two matches of the regular season.
Lustre hosted the Culbertson Cowgirls Oct. 21. The Lions fell in three sets 23-25, 21-25, 17-25. Lustre had 14 assists, 10 aces, 36 digs, five blocks and 12 kills. Abby Olfert led in assists with 10 and in aces with three. Kencia Brown led in digs with 36 and kills with four. Jaden Gibson had three blocks to lead the Lions.
The Lions traveled to Nashua Oct. 25. They won the match in three sets 25-22, 25-14, 25-23. Lustre notched 22 assists, 20 aces, 12 digs, 26 kills and a block. Olfert had 21 assists. Hannah Brown led in aces with five. K. Brown had three digs and nine kills to lead the Lions while Gibson had the lone block of the match.
Lustre travels to Plentywood for the District 1C Volleyball Tournament to be held Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The Lions open the tournament with a 4:30 p.m. match against MonDak Thursday.
