For the week of Oct. 21 through 27, there were three reports of loose dogs, two reports of loose livestock, two reports of missing dogs, two reports of deer being hit by a vehicle, and 10 motor vehicle stops.
Monday, Oct. 21
1808 – A hazard was reported. A deputy cleared most of the debris from the roadway and placed it in his truck. There was no need to call DOT.
Tuesday, Oct. 22
0743 – MDOT reported a deer needs to be put down. He tried to get a hold of F&G, but they don’t have anyone on yet. A deputy arrived on scene and put the deer down. Dispatch called MTDOT to let them know the deer has been put down.
1847 – Caller requested a deputy. She said an adult female is inside the school and creating a scene. The female was told she is not welcome there.
1916 – Caller reported two people, one male and one female, at the dumpsters. She was told they possibly tried to get into a car the other day and now they are calling her names at the scene. While on the phone with the caller, another call came in from the male that she was reporting. The male stated he and his girlfriend were out walking their dog, when the woman started harassing them. At 1945, another 911 call came in. The callers were reporting two people with a dog were yelling at a woman and now they’re yelling at the callers. Later a third person called to report the couple with the dog. He said the female is possibly under the influence of something. Then the male called again wanting an officer, stating people keep following them. He doesn’t want to go home because he doesn’t want them to know where they live. A deputy did arrive to the scene and advised the subjects are living with a local resident. The subjects also didn’t have anything that appeared to be stolen.
2049 – Caller reported there’s a couple of vehicles in the driving lane and they ran out of gas. He thought this might be in Roosevelt or Sheridan County. Dispatch advised Roosevelt and Sheridan counties of the situation. The caller also called Sheridan Dispatch and it was determined to be in their jurisdiction.
2211 – Caller said there was a confrontation and she was told that she can’t go on the school grounds. She then saw two vehicles in her driveway. She said when they spotted her, both vehicles took off. She would like extra patrol.
Wednesday, Oct. 23
0901 – Reporting party came into the dispatch lobby. He states his father died recently and he was notified of this at 0735 hours that morning. At 1043 hours that morning his father’s girlfriend withdrew $200 from his father’s bank account. She tried to get more but the card was declined. She did put his debit card back in his father’s wallet. He wants to know if this was worth pursuing legally.
1250 – Caller reported a semi truck has lost a bunch of hay bales. They are in the westbound lane and she said they almost got hit by another semi trying to avoid this while there was another semi hauling a double-wide trailer. The semi came into their lane, and she had to go to the very edge of her lane to avoid getting hit. She said it is a mess out there. The semi that lost the bales has stopped to get the bales off the road but she feels there needs to be someone out there for traffic control. A deputy was notified, who requested MT DOT.
1630 – Reporting party called stating there is a flatbed fifth-wheel trailer, loaded with wood, that has been parked by his house for days now. The plate is bent down so you can’t see when it expires. An officer was notified.
1657 – Caller reported her vehicle was just hit by another vehicle. There are no injuries and both vehicles are on scene.
1952 – A hang up 911 call was received from a cell phone. The phone number was found in the system, and dispatch tried to call back with no answer. Another 911 call was received from the same number. A woman on the line could be heard but the phone kept cutting out. An officer was advised and at 2004, he made contact with a family at the church. Their kids were playing a game behind the church and there was some yelling and screaming. He assumes it was them who might have called.
2206 – Reporting party stated a vehicle was swerving and leap frogging, passing vehicles. The driver is possibly intoxicated. The driver was stopped and a warning for speed was provided.
2208 – Officer reported being behind a vehicle that may have been spinning brodies at the school parking lot.
2313 – Caller reported there is a female at his door, crying and not talking straight. It is unknown who she is or what is wrong. An officer arrived and found the female walking. A PBT of 0.206 was recorded for the female.
Thursday, Oct. 24
0804 – Deputy received a report from a female that said when she got home her TV was on the floor smashed.
1017 – Reporting party called stating they had a male out at their farm yesterday killing coyotes as they have been having a lot of their cattle attacked. The male got three males and one female coyote, but found cows out there that had been eaten up. Today, they went out and found two black dogs had attacked one of their calves, and was chewing on its ear. Dispatch let the reporting party know the undersheriff will be notified. Deputy arrived on scene and spoke to the livestock inspector who will take over the case.
1713 – Caller reported her fiance was at a bar last night and lost his wallet as well as a hoodie. They contacted the bar and were told it wasn’t turned in. Caller wanted to know if anyone turned the items into law enforcement.
2339 – A public assist call was recorded. Per deputy, the male was warned not to dumpster dive.
Friday, Oct. 25
0232 – Caller reported an alarm. There was no answer on the phone.
1049 – Reporting party came into the dispatch lobby to report a fraud. He states on Oct. 17, he sent money, in what he believed he was buying a pick-up from a dealer in Denver. He sent them $21,900 and it turned out to be a fraud. He needs a police report on this for the bank to try and recoup his money.
1432 – A motor vehicle accident was reported. Officer advised she spoke to the reporting party. The sign was bent down but the driver tried to bend it back up.
1426 – Reporting party came into the dispatch lobby to report three abandoned vehicles that are parked right by her house. A description of the vehicles were provided. The officer advised he spoke with both registered owners of these vehicles and they were told the vehicle has to be moved by this weekend.
1605 – A card was started at an officer’s request. A driving complaint involving a vehicle.
2007 – Caller reported that someone hit his side by side about 10 minutes ago. The vehicle took off and went up the hill towards the highway. He said there’s about a foot of skid mark from his vehicle being moved. He couldn’t find any damage but there is possibly a mark where it struck his front tire. It was determined since there is no damage, no crash report is needed.
Saturday, Oct. 26
0426 – Caller reported her brother was shot in the arm by her other brother. They believe the second brother is not there now, possibly en route to Wolf Point. Tribal was notified. The reporting party stated it was not accidental. She also heard another shot and thinks he may be intoxicated and just shooting. She provided several locations on where the male could be.
1248 – Reporting party stated he just picked up a truck from the shop. He is now currently broken down in the middle of US Highway 2. He is setting out marker cones and will be calling the shop where he just got the vehicle from. About 10 minutes later, officer advised the reporting party is running to grab a couple of tools to attempt to fix the truck. At 1313, it was reported the vehicle is off the highway and is no longer a hazard. It will be toed to the shop.
2139 – Caller reported talking with his sister and brother-in-law about some rumors and they started threatening him. He doesn’t want them to come over as they live right behind him. A deputy spoke to both parties and they both were saying the other was threatening. It was advised to both to block each other.
Sunday, Oct. 27
0452 – RCSO advising they have a vehicle going westbound on US 2 that was swerving, and it sounds like they have officers behind it. Will advise if they enter Valley County.
