Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Public Comment Period For The Glasgow Airport Master Plan

Valley County is accepting public comment for the final draft of the new Glasgow Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan (ALP). The public comment period will be open through Friday, Nov. 8.

As part of their continuing commitment to serve and improve the aviation needs of Glasgow and North Central Montana, Valley County and the City of Glasgow are conducting an airport master plan for Glasgow Airport/Wokal Field (GGW). This master plan is a collaborative effort between the airport sponsor, GGW, the State of Montana, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The plan is 100 percent funded by a grant from the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP). DOWL was the selected consultant to assist the airport with the development of this important planning study and master plan document. The master plan will include a narrative report along with an ALP.

This study has analyzed demand, forecast future needs, and developed a capital improvement plan to support airport development over the next 20 years. Valley County invites the public to review the documents and provide their comments. Comments are being collected from the public and airport stakeholders until Nov. 8.

More information, review documents, and a survey link to provide comments are provided at https://www.dowl.com/outreach/.
