For the week of Sept. 30 through Oct. 6, there were five reports of deer being hit by a vehicle, three reports of loose dogs, one report of a missing dog, one report of loose livestock, one report of dead livestock and one accidental call.
Monday, Sept. 30
1658 – A mail carrier was attacked by two dogs. The employee went to the hospital and the reporting party gave the name of the person who might have owned the dog.
1658 – Caller states there is a truck that is driving between 50 and 80 miles per hour, going back and forth between the white and yellow lines. A description of the truck was provided. At 1712, the caller followed up, providing further descriptions of the truck, and stated when it came to the intersection, the vehicle did not stop. At 1730, it was reported a deputy patrolled and was unable to locate the vehicle.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
Calls for a missing dog, loose livestock and a deer being hit by a vehicle were recorded.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
1201 – Two people came in to the dispatch lobby to speak to an officer. They advised that in November of 2019, her father passed away in Billings. They went there to take care of his things. While there they discovered his girlfriend had stolen his vehicle. They went to the Billings PD and filed a report. Today at approximately 1100 hours, they saw the individual. They called BPD, and they were advised to notify the local law enforcement.
1528 – Caller reported tire debris in the roadway. It looks like a tire exploded. MTDOT in Glasgow was contacted.
1713 – Caller reported there’s a bus or van with a box on the back making turns and changing lanes without signaling. A description of travel was provided as well as a description of the vehicle. He is willing to sign a complaint.
Thursday, Oct. 3
0914 – Caller reported a plume of white smoke that goes about 30 feet into the air then dissipates. He believes it is a leak of some kind. A deputy arrived and advised he can see a circular silo that has white smoke or steam coming out of it. It was determined it was a gravel pit and they are heating up asphalt. It’s a cooler morning and that is why there is so much smoke or steam coming off of it.
1221 – Reporting party advised while he was in the store, someone hit his pickup and left. He would like to make a report for his insurance. At 1227, reporting party called back and advised the other driver came back. They exchanged insurance information.
1743 – Reporting party requested an officer. She said her husband and a mechanic made a deal with the owner of some property to get a drilling truck. There’s a man on her property that is refusing to leave and he is claiming the drilling truck belongs to him. The reporting party also advised the man is talking to her neighbors to try and get information about her and her husband. In addition, there is young kids that are in her yard bouncing around, that belong to the man. Later, the reporting party’s husband came on the line. He stated he had spoken with the person that had power of attorney over the property and the suspect has been giving them problems as well. At 1749, deputy advised he let the suspect go.
2356 – An abandoned vehicle was reported. It appears the front passenger side tire went bad and they pulled it into the ditch to get it off the road.
Friday, Oct. 4
0914 – Reporting party called stating there is a small grass fire south of the dam on MT Hwy 24. Another party also arrived and tried to stomp the fire out, but both parties agreed that Fire should respond even though they believe the fire is out. McCone County Dispatch was contacted and they requested an officer to check and make sure the fire is out. A deputy arrived on scene and could not locate any smoke or the location of the fire.
2221 – Caller reported his sister was kicked down the stairs by her boyfriend. He is still around as his vehicle is there. Dispatch called RCSO for a wants check and the male has a warrant. The victim also would like an advocate. Per deputy, this will be a RCSO case, and the female was transported to the hospital where she met with the advocate.
2306 – NWE reporting a line down in a customer’s backyard. There is no sparking or arching. Another caller also called to ask about any damage in the area due to the 92 MPH gusts. It was determined that the power went out on the west side, and a Stop sign on Fox Farm Cut Across Road was barely hanging on by one bolt.
Saturday, Oct. 5
0217 – Caller reported during the wind he had some trees and limbs drop on the power lines. There is some sparking but nothing is burning. He notified the power company and also has a fire unit on scene.
0826 – Caller reported a vehicle has been parked in front of his brother’s place, and is now currently sitting in front of another location. The person went out at 0800 and started the vehicle, then shut it off, then started it again. The caller doesn’t know or recognize the person in the vehicle. The caller says they are not doing anything wrong, it’s just strange. He just wants this as a report of record in case something happens later.
1941 – Caller reported a vehicle parked in the fire lane with nobody around. While on the line, someone came out and he told them they cannot park in the spot. The vehicle was moved.
Sunday, Oct. 6
0035 – A theft of a truck was stolen at gun point. The direction of travel is unknown and so is the suspect. At 0205, deputy patrolled and was unable to locate the vehicle.
0208 – A public assist call was recorded. A driver just pulled over to use their phone.
