Scottie Volleyball Picks Up Conference Win

The Scottie volleyball team picked up a conference win, a three-game match against Wolf Point Sept. 26. The team dropped a three-set match to Sidney the following night.

Glasgow hosted Wolf Point Thursday and swept the Wolves easily. The Scotties won 25-16, 25-4, 25-11. They had 12 aces, 34 kills, 29 assists, eight blocks and 46 digs to the Wolves’ one ace, 10 kills, two blocks and 23 digs.

Joely Chappell led the Scotties in three stats: four aces, 10 kills and 13 digs. Macy Martin had 27 assists and Hayden Green knocked down four Wolf Point shots.

The JV team won their match in three sets while the C squad game was canceled.

The following night, Glasgow went up against the Class A Eagles in Sidney and found themselves on the other side of the broom. The Scotties were swept 9-25, 19-25, 23-25.

Glasgow put up two aces, 19 kills, 16 assists, nine blocks and 61 digs. Halle Hunter and Martin split the team’s aces while Martin put up 15 of Glasgow’s assists. Gina Page had six blocks for Glasgow. Chappell led in kills with six and in digs with 18.

The JV team lost in five sets, 25-22, 14-25, 15-12, 9-15, 11-151. The C squad dropped their match in three sets 15-25, 22-25, 11-15.

Glasgow hosted Glendive Oct. 1 but scores were unavailable at press time.

The Scotties’ JV team hosts Lustre Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m.

Glasgow will be in Fairview Saturday, Oct. 5, to take on the Warriors for C, JV and varsity action beginning at 1 p.m.
