Madelyn House, chair of the Glasgow Downtown Association, is excited to put together the new tras cans that are along 2nd Ave. S., in Glasgow on Sept. 17.
The Glasgow Downtown Association added six trash cans throughout 2nd Ave. S., on Sept. 17, including this one near Soma Dis Deli. These cans were a result of community support through reverse raffle tickets, as well as assistance from Markle's Incorporated and the City of Glasgow.
As a result of the community's support in purchasing reverse raffle tickets during the Alive at Five season as well as assistance from Markle's Incorporated and the City of Glasgow, the Glasgow Downtown Association (GDA) is proud to add six new trash cans throughout 2nd Ave. S. The trash cans that were on the sidewalks of that block have been relocated throughout the downtown area.
The GDA has plans to add more of these trash cans next year to different blocks of Glasgow's downtown in addition to thinking of other projects to improve the downtown area.
