Glasgow Learn To Skate Is Preparing For It’s 21st Season – Sign Ups Available Now

Glasgow Learn to Skate is preparing for its 21st season. Skating instruction is available for preschool through adults using a curriculum endorsed by US Figure Skating and USA Hockey.

Each class is 40 minutes long which includes a lesson and practice time. Cost is $50 per six-week session for kindergarten through adult lessons and $30 for preschoolers. Skate rental for all ages is $15 per session. Parents may skate at the same time as their children for $17, with no charge for rental skates. Preschool skaters must have an adult on the ice with them.

Class times for those new to skating are Fridays at 10:30 a.m. or Saturdays at 8:15 a.m. Hockey players who are in their first few years of the sport and want to improve their skating skills are Fridays at 11:15 a.m.

For those returning to Learn to Skate, advanced levels are Fridays 9 a.m.; beginner and intermediate levels are Fridays 9:45 a.m. or Saturdays 8:15 a.m. Preschool lessons are Saturdays at 9 a.m.

Skaters may sign up for the Nov-Dec session by email now or in person on Saturday, Oct. 12, between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the Valley Event Center. All skaters must be registered and paid for by Sunday, Oct. 20. Lessons start Nov 1.

Due to family commitments, late registrations will not be accepted for this first session. There will be another session in Jan-Feb, with sign-ups for that in December.
