Constitution Week 2024

Celebrate Constitution Week with Milk River Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.

This year Constitution Week is Sept. 16 through 23, and Constitution Day is Tuesday, Sept. 17. The week is celebrated annually to commemorate it's history, importance and bring attention to how it still serves us today.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially enacted Constitution Day on Aug. 2, 1956. A Congressional Resolution was petitioned by The Daughters of the American Revolution.

The purpose of Constitution Week is to:

Emphasize citizens' responsibilities for protecting and defending the Constitution.

Inform people that the Constitution is the basis for America's great heritage and the foundation for our way of life.

Encourage the study of the historical events which led to the framing of the Constitution in September 1787.
