This match was a good opener for us. We were a little rusty in sets 1 and 3 but found a good grove in sets 2 and 4. We started the season off on the right foot and I told these girls before the match it’s their turn to write their story this season and we will build it together. I was thrilled with our ability to touch the ball and get our hands on it before it hit the ground.

This trip always seems long because it is but we came off a win the day before got up early and headed to Plentywood. I believe the girls decided to concentrate on defense in this match. They dug a lot of the hits Plentywood attacked us and we pounded the ball hard through their block and down to the ground. Our serving was down a little from the night before but we held strong and got some key serves over the net to win the match.
