Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
Constance E. Goasevski (Orre) entered into eternal rest peacefully, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, after battling health issues for the past several years.
Born in Opheim, Mont., she met her husband Bill, who was stationed there with the United States Air Force. They married and moved to Bayonne, N.J., where she resided for the rest of her life.
"Connie," as everyone knew her, worked in the food and hospitality industry as a waitress in the executive dining rooms at AT&T, Prudential, Western Electric, and the Hi-Hat Caterers in Bayonne for over 35 years.
Connie loved to bake and delighted her family and friends with her delicious creations. She was an avid reader and found joy in playing cards & scrabble, sewing and needlepoint.
Connie and Bill traveled yearly to see family and friends. She loved visiting with her family in Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Goasevskis had a large circle of friends and enjoyed socializing with them and having dinner parties.
Connie will be missed for all eternity by those whose lives she enriched. Left to cherish her memory are her dearly beloved husband of 67 years, William R. Goasevski; her daughter, Lorna Cantale; her sons-in-law, Anthony Cantale and Thomas Hooper; her sister, Clara Stahl and husband Rance; her brother-in-law, Saunders Stratton; her three adored grandchildren, Douglas Feliciano, Matthew Cantale and Amanda Cantale; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Eleanor (Thompson) Orre; her son, William L. "Billy" Goasevski; her daughter, Darla Marie Hooper; and her two sisters, Sharon Stratton and Sally Harris.
Visiting hours were held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on April 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. A funeral mass was held in Connie's honor on April 22, at 10:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
