This past week was a week filled with fun events at the Fairgrounds for the yearly Northeast Montana Fair in Glasgow. From entertainment on the Independence Bank Free Stage, Dreamland Carnival, viewing the exhibits in the commercial booths, visiting with local businesses and organizations who had a presence under the Grandstands, enjoying good eateries, and all of the 4-H action, there was certainly something for everyone to enjoy.
Rounding out the week was the 2024 Milk River Motorsports Demolition Derby on Aug. 10. Darrin Wersal, of Glasgow, was crowned the back-to-back champ, winning first place in the Class 2 competition. Joseph Bosch, of Williston, N.D., placed second and Tristan Powell, of Glasgow, placed third.
The Redneck Derby saw Jeremiah Johnson, of Helena, take first, followed by Tristan Powell, of Glasgow, in second and Jeff Yoss, of Hinsdale, in third.
