Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

A Letter From The Frazer School Principal

Daya Yahi Mato Chinja Tewahe! Welcome Bearcub Family!

On behalf of the staff, I am honored to welcome you back to the 2024-2025 school year. I encourage all of you to check the Frazer Bearcubs web page and the Facebook page frequently for further updates as the school year goes on.

The Frazer staff is looking forward to a productive year with our Bearcub Families! Our partnership will help our students succeed in and out of the classroom. We encourage all of our students to become student athletes, be a part of student leadership, take part in the clubs and after school activities and attend the student trips when they are offered. The Frazer School partners with the Fort Peck Community College to bridge our Juniors and Seniors to higher education, HPDP for community wellness and the Office of Public Instruction to meet academic goals.

The instructional leadership team has developed 5 goals:

Action Goal 1: Testing Fidelity. Every Testing Cycle We will improve the testing at Frazer Schools. The data collection will be held with 100% fidelity, to get accurate results in order to make data driven decision making for the administration and the teachers.

Action Goal 2: Data and Interventions. We will share the data with staff, students and families. Staff will be dedicated to providing high quality interventions for our students to meet their personal goals.

Action Goal 3: Instructional Model: The BEARCUBS Instructional Model will be put in place schoolwide for maximum student engagement from bell to bell and class to class, using high yield instructional strategies and best practices.

Action Goal 4: Attendance: The Frazer staff will be dedicated to help students and families meet the attendance goal of 95 percent. (this past year we finished with a 93 percent)

Action Goal 5: Nakoda Culture and Family/School Strengthening: Establish a trauma-informed educational school/community with school-wide values and expectations (respect, responsibility, and safety); be yourself, we are family, we are all related.

The families can help with the Frazer School goals by continuing to support the school by ensuring that students:

Attend school daily and arrive on time to eat. The school opens at 7:45 daily for breakfast.

Provide students with adequate amounts of rest.

Attend all the gatherings, parent nights, parent conferences, sporting events and parent committee meetings.

Read 20 minutes each night.

Communicate with the staff regarding any challenges your child may have.

Support the Frazer School Student discipline policies.
