Richard “Dick” Cotton, of Glasgow, died in a rollover crash along US Highway 87, near mile marker 7, in Musselshell County on July 26.
According to the report provided by the Montana Highway Patrol, Cotton was southbound in a Ford Galaxy when the right rear tire blew out. He over-corrected to the left and drove across the center line. The vehicle then yawed off the roadway, hit a delineator post and rolled through a fence landing on its roof, facing north.
Though he was wearing a seatbelt, he was partially ejected and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The report also stated alcohol and/or drugs were not factors in the crash.
