Twist A Lime Roping

We hosted our Twist A Lime Roping Saturday, June 29, put on by the Glasgow Rodeo Committee at the Cherry Creek Roping Arena. This year's event was dedicated to the memory of Larry Rhoads. Larry passed away Feb. 26, 2024. The family donated buckles to the champions.

Larry helped start the Wolf Point Roping Club and was its first president in 1965. He also started the Hi Line Roping Club in 1969. He was active in and a lifetime member of the Cherry Creek Roping Club in Glasgow as well as a member of the Ridgerunners Saddle Club. He shoed horses for 40 years and taught many young cowboys to rope. Larry was instrumental for helping put on the State & District HS Rodeo in Glasgow for several years.
