Theatre For A Young Audience Tour Stops In Fort Peck

Michelle Bigelbach / The Courier

As part of the Theatre For A Young Audience Tour, the production Bremen or Bust made a stop at the Fort Peck Interpretative Center to a crowd of all ages on June 29.

Inspired by the Grimms' fairytale Town Musicians of Bremen, a colorful quartet of rural animals dream of migrating to metropolitan Bremen with hopes of joining a world-renowned dance crew and finding fame. As their travels present surprising adventures, the motley group's diverse styles of music and dance are equaled by their enthusiasm for sharing with each other, while discovering that to be the next great dance crew, all they really need is each other.

Bremen or Bust is written and directed by Danny Durr and produced in partnership with emerging company AM Theatrical. Durr is a New York City based actor, director, choreographer and teaching artist, whose extensive credits include choreographer for the national tour of A Christmas Carol.

The production stared Sydney Hayward, Mariah Cathey, Lizzie Peters, Connor Romandine and Brandon Santos, and featured designs by Tanner White (scenic), Eleanor O'Brien (costumes) and Jenny Smith (props).

Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) is designed to educate and enlighten youth, with a goal to bring visibility, excitement and awareness about the performing arts.

Founded by Andy Meyers, the mission of AM Theatrical is to encourage engagement in the arts by producing performances that reflect the served community; presenting events that benefit groups in need; supporting artistic educational opportunities; and creating theatre focused on inspiring young audiences.
