Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913
George A. Asleson, age 90, passed away from natural causes at his home in Glasgow, Mont.
Services will be held at a later date.
He was born Sept. 6, 1933, and grew up on the family homestead south of Opheim, Mont. He attended grade school in Opheim but graduated from high school in Glasgow.
After graduation, George returned to work on the family farm, until enlisting in the Army in 1957. He served his country for two years and then returned to the farm where he worked alongside his uncle, Elmer Asleson.
George had a wide array of interests that included: HAM radios, model airplanes, rock collecting, polishing and cutting and riding motorcycles with friends.
In his later years, George would head south for the winter, eventually landing in Queen Valley, Ariz. His hobbies here included skeet shooting, golf and pool. He stayed young at heart and possessed a vast array of knowledge. He made friends wherever he went and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia; his grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
His survivors include a cousin Sam (Gail) Feezell and their children, Paul, Ryan and Kristi.
