FMDH Foundation's 25th Annual Golf Tournament Raises Over $20,000

On June 8, the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital (FMDH) Foundation hosted its 25th Annual Golf Tournament at Sunnyside Country Club, drawing 76 golfers forming 19 teams in a day filled with excitement, competition, and camaraderie. Independence Bank proudly served as the Premier Sponsor, contributing to the success of this landmark event.

Throughout the day, participants enjoyed meals prepared by Toodie's Café & Gallery, culminating in a delicious BBQ pulled pork dinner generously sponsored by Cornwell Ranch. The tournament featured cash payouts for the top five teams, with Opportunity Bank, represented by Brad Marlenee, Billy Allestad, Jed Kirkland, and Kevin Hohlen, securing first place. Plentywood Hardware took second place, followed by Hi-Tech Golf in third, Oldies & Youngins in fourth, and NEMT STAT Air rounding out the top five.

The event also included a 50/50 raffle, raising $800, with Jake Page taking home $400 as the lucky winner. Various hole prizes were awarded for contests held on all 18 holes, adding an extra layer of fun and competition.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from local businesses, team sponsors, and donors, the FMDH Foundation raised over $20,000. These funds are crucial for the Foundation's mission to provide high-quality medical equipment to local healthcare facilities, enhancing the level of care they can offer. Additionally, the proceeds contribute to the Foundation's scholarship fund, awarding $30,000 annually to students pursuing careers in the medical field.

So far in 2024, the FMDH Foundation has proudly gifted adult and pediatric mannequins to NEMT STAT Air, ankle weights and dumbbells to FMDH EMS for their Community Integrated Health programs, a 2 Step Platform to FMDH Radiology, and a portable ultrasound machine for FMDH ER.
