In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation that designated June 14 as Flag Day. On Aug. 3, 1949, National Flag Day was officially established by an Act of Congress.
The week of June 9 – 16, 2024 was designated as Flag week. American citizens are encouraged to fly your flag every day but especially during Flag week
