For the week of May 20 through 26, there were six reports of loose livestock, 19 motor vehicle stops, one report of a missing dog, one report of a barking dog and one report of a loose dog.
For the week of May 27 through June 1, there were 27 motor vehicle stops, two reports of loose livestock, two requests for VIN inspections, one report of a barking dog, one report of a loose dog, two calls for public assist with no explanation provided and two reports of deer being hit.
Friday, May 24
1953 – Caller reported he received a text message from his neighbor in regards to two men in the area. The men were going to farms. They were in a pickup with a ladder in the back. Deputy later spoke with the reporting party who never had any direct contact with those people but provided contact information for the neighbor that did have contact. There was no crime reported at this time but the deputy will patrol. At 2110, a pickup was located with no front or rear plate, and per RCSO, the male has a tribal warrant.
Saturday, May 25
0844 – Search and Rescue will be taking the lake boat out and putting it in the slip for the summer sometime today.
1120 – Reporting party called in highly agitated. She demanded an officer at her residence to get her now ex-boyfriend’s property removed from in front of her door. She had stated he was making threats and talking about puncturing the tires on her truck. While attempting to get her inside the house, she was talking to someone else. She finally agreed to go inside and could hear her telling her children to go inside as well. Information was passed along to an officer. The officer advised it is a civil issue. The male is attempting to get his stuff and the reporting party is refusing to let him on the property. At 1144, officer also advised his property is removed and is in the street area so he can retrieve his belongings.
1609 – Caller reported there is a truck traveling west at a high rate of speed and passing people, almost causing accidents. He did not have a plate number or able to see it. He refused to provide his name but did provide a phone number if an officer needs it.
1709 – Caller reported that two people from the call on May 24, 1953, were in the area. He states there in a pickup. He did not see the plate state but provided the plate number. The one male approached the caller and gave a him a business card from a company in Great Falls. A description of both males were provided as well as what they were wearing. The caller didn’t see which direction of travel they went.
2142 – Per deputy, a female was found walking on MT 117. Deputy brought her to the campsite where her boyfriend is at. He had been trying to fight with her and she wanted him removed. Her father had rented the site but said she could stay. Deputy gave her a ride to Nashua so a friend can pick her up
2217 – A deputy is out with a truck and a boat that has no tail lights on the boat trailer.
2310 – Reporting party stated there are two guys trying to hitchhike going north on Hwy 24N. A description of what they were wearing was provided.
Sunday, May 26
0150 – A vehicle is in the ditch on the east side. There is no apparent damage. The doors are unlocked, the keys are in the console but there is no one around. A deputy attempted to call the registered owner but the voicemail is full. The vehicle is off the road and is not a hazard.
0227 – Reporting party stated a man is walking down the middle of the street. It looks like he might be a transient. Twenty minutes later, a deputy stated they were unable to locate the male. He is pretty sure it’s the same guy he sees some nights, and possibly works at the nearby business.
0629 – Reporting party stated his truck was pulled out of his driveway sometime during the night and they did a burnout in the road. They then left the truck parked in the middle of the road with the keys in it. The caller did not need a call back, he just wanted a report on it.
Monday, May 27
1547 – A camper was parked where it wasn’t supposed to be. The tow companies weren’t available for towing, so deputy stated the registered owner would get a ticket for trespassing. At 1614, deputy advised was able to get a hold of the registered owner and found the camper was sold. Deputy also contacted the person who provided permission for parking and it’s okay for the trailer to be parked for a few days.
1955 – Caller reported she was leaving a friend’s farm two hours ago, when a newer SUV passed by heading towards Fort Peck. The vehicle was going about 80 to 90 miles an hour. The caller provided who the driver might be.
2136 – Caller reported someone is shooting off fireworks that shoot up in the air. She doesn’t know who is doing it, but some of the fireworks are hitting on roofs. She’s not making a complaint now, just wants it on record.
2236 – Caller reported he dropped his friend off around 1730. He was supposed to pick him up at around 2000 or 2030 but the friend is not back from the lake. A description of the boat was provided and the friend’s pickup and trailer are still on the premise. At 0559 on May 28, it was advised the friend is safe. He met up with friends and stayed on their houseboat.
Tuesday, May 28
1322 – Reporting party called stating she is taking care of the house across the street from her and there is a really big sink hole that has come up in the front yard of the residence. She thinks it’s probably water but is unsure. She was provided the number to the City of Glasgow and the City Water Department.
1352 – Reporting party called stating they have had a homeless woman hanging around at the business all day. Now she is coming into the shop and will not leave. Due to insurance purposes they need her to leave. The caller would like the officer to remove her but in a nice way so as not to hurt her feelings. At 1400, officer advised the female has already left.
1439 – A public assist call was recorded. Deputy advised they blew a tire but are getting it changed.
1508 – Caller reported that one of her neighbor’s son keeps blocking they alley where their garbage is. She’s made complaints about this before. She also spoke with the boy yesterday but he’s still doing it. She would like an officer to talk with him.
1630 – A woman said there’s a huge fire in Bighorn County. Dispatch advised she reached Valley County.
Wednesday,
May 29
1029 – Business called to state they have some people to work on their propane tanks. They will be emptying the tanks then lighting off the tanks with the residual propane left in the tanks so they can work on them.
1728 – Caller reported that a car threw a pop can out of their window. The caller had to swerve otherwise it would have hit her windshield. She almost went into the ditch in the process. It was determined the can came from another vehicle and the wind must have caught it.
