Glasgow Schools Hires Hudyma As New Irle Elementary Principal

The Glasgow School Board had a work session on May 28 to review four applicants to fill the Irle School principal position. The position had been held by Ed Sugg since the fall of 2021 however earlier in the school year, he requested a transfer to a teaching position at the Glasgow Middle School starting with the 2024-2025 school year.

After reviewing the four applicants, the School Board agreed to interview Linda Huydma, a long time teacher in the Glasgow School System and a current teacher at Glasgow High School. They agreed to interview Hudyma the next evening in the central office of the school district.

The interview occurred on May 29, 7 p.m., and after the interview was complete, the board hired Hudyma in a 5-0 vote. She will start the new position in August and will earn a salary of $87,880 per year, which is based off the pay matrix for principals.
