For the week of May 20 through 26, there were six reports of loose livestock, 19 motor vehicle stops, one report of a missing dog, one report of a barking dog and one report of a loose dog.
Monday, May 20
1729- Caller reported that there are lines down and sparking behind a house. The lines are starting the grass on fire. Deputies, Northwestern Energy, and St. Marie Fire was notified. Per deputy at 1735, a part of the house was on fire. At 1738, it was reported a small part of the house that was on fire got knocked down and then reignited. The fire is beginning to grow again so the fire department is getting another truck. At 1816, St. Marie Fire Chief advised the fire is out but they are still on scene waiting for the power company to arrive.
2156 – Caller reported a fire across from their residence. They could not tell what it was, possibly a bonfire but they were not sure. The caller wanted to make sure it was not something more. Their concern was because there was someone walking around in the area.
2209 – Deputy reported a bunch of yelling going on. He will try to locate the individuals.
2210 – Caller requested assistance with opening a pill bottle of medication that he needs to take. Dispatch advised they would get someone over. The reporting party was called back to obtain further information but there was no answer. Deputy advised to page an ambulance out. At 2219, it was reported the male was okay.
Tuesday, May 21
0720 – Reporting party stated he believes someone vandalized his truck last night at his residence. A description of the vandalism was provided. He also stated there appears to be brown glass inside of the truck as if a beer bottle was thrown at it. The truck was in good condition the last time he saw it around 1630 after he got home. Information was passed along to an officer. At 0743, officer advised he had taken photos of the damage done to the vehicle.
1134 – A manager was requesting an officer to the store. She had to let an employee go today as he threatened her yesterday. The manager wants an officer to do a No Trespassing on the employee in case he comes back to the store. An officer later advised the store has already trespassed the male from the property. The officer will send out the information to the other officers so they know.
2020 – Caller reported a male ran over her dog and kept going. The dog is still alive but possibly has a broken leg. A description of the vehicle involved was provided as well as direction of travel. Deputy spoke with the reporting party and she will take her pet to the vet in the morning. Deputy will also speak to the other party.
Wednesday, May 22
1058 – Reporting party called in to report a suspicious male. She said the male, when she initially drove by, was by her friend’s house and he was taking pictures. When she came by again he appeared to try and duck down a trail or hide from her so she wouldn’t see him. A description was provided of what the male was wearing. At 1108, an officer advised he patrolled the area and spoke to some people in the area but they haven’t seen anyone matching the description given.
1404 – Reporting party called in wanting to report an erratic driver. He states he has crossed over the center line multiple times. One time he ended up in the other lane of oncoming traffic. He also states he blew through a construction zone by the rest area. A description of the vehicle was provided as well as the plate number. Dispatch called PCSO dispatch and provided their dispatcher the information.
2102 – Caller reported her husband won’t let her in the residence. She needs to get some of her belongings and would like an officer to stand by. She doesn’t have a phone so she is calling from a neighbor’s. A deputy was patched through.
Thursday, May 23
0836 – Manager reported a gas drive off from yesterday. He provided a description of the vehicle with a plate number. He stated the amount was $57.92 and the event took place at 1650 on May 22. Information was passed along to an officer. At 1043, an officer advised he spoke to a deputy from Roosevelt County who went to speak to the individuals. It was a misunderstanding and they will be getting ahold of the gas station to get it taken care of.
0837 – A bus driver wanted to speak to an officer. He had a vehicle at 0733 run through his flashing yellow lights in a no passing zone. He didn’t get a plate number but knows the driver. He stated he has had incidents with her before but doesn’t have any video.
0959 – Reporting party called in stating that his driver’s side window has been shot out. He stated at first he thought there was frost on the window but when he went out to look at it, there was a small hole in the window. When he touched it some glass fell out. At 1013, officer advised he took photos of the damage to the vehicle and will do an incident report on it.
1654 – Officer advised they doing traffic control for someone strapping their load down.
Friday, May 24
1043 – A female reported her neighbor came over and started an argument with them. The neighbor then pushed her husband and also her son. Dispatch spoke to the son and asked if an ambulance was needed. He said no, that he ducked when the guy swung at him. Dispatch then spoke to the reporting party again and neither she nor her husband needed an ambulance. There are weapons in the house but no one has weapons on them. The caller then stated her husband is now having CP and would like an ambulance. At 1235, a deputy reported he spoke to both parties and everyone is calmed down. He needs to talk to one of the men to see if he wants to press charges. At 1854, deputy then advised all parties were given disorderly conduct warnings and were told to stay away from each other. He also advised there would be a report made about the incident.
1501 – Caller stated he used to live in Glasgow, but doesn’t anymore. He has a two acre piece of property in Fort Peck. He said some people are parking on his property. One of them has permission to be there but the other is a camper. The reporting party provided a plate number to the camper and wants to know who it belongs to. Dispatch advised they could not provide that information but an officer will be notified.
1658 – Caller reported she had received a complaint that a SUV/Station Wagon was driving erratically. The vehicle is traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, causing people to veer off the road, both in the oncoming lane and the driving lane. A deputy is heading towards the area to intercept the reckless driver. At 1758, it was reported the vehicle was not able to be located. Deputy did see a red vehicle that sort of matched the description but driving behavior was normal.
