Scottie Golf Ends Season at State

Boys 10th, Girls 11th

The Scottie golf season came to an end in Shelby at the State Meet May 14 and 15. The Glasgow boys finished in 10th place with a team 709 score, +133. The Scottie girls shot a combined 912, +336, to finish in 11th place.

Eli Feezell led the boys team, finishing in a tie for 27th place. He shot a 169, +25, with an 81 on the first round and an 88 in round two.

Connor Koski finished directly behind Feezell in 29th place. He shot an 87 in the first round and improved to an 83 in the second round for a 170, +26.

Carter Hoerster tied for 46th after shooting a 182, +38. He scored 86 in the first round and shot a 96 in the second.

Coy Nelson shot a 98 in the first round, dropping to a 91 in the second, for a 189, +45. He finished in a tie for 55th place.

Hank Hopstad finished in a three-way tie for 60th place. He shot a consistent 97 in both rounds for a 194, +50.

Laynee Simpson paced the Scottie girls with a tie for 26th place. She shot a 103 in round one and a 105 in the second for a 208, +64.

Mia Peterson shot a 217, +73, to tie for 41st place. She turned in a 113 in the first and dropping to a 104 in the second round.

Allie Palm took 52nd place after shooting a 112 in the first and a 117 in the second round. She finished with a 229, +85.

Annika Smith shot a 258, +114. She shot a 126 in the first and a 132 in the second round to take 67th place.

Aspen Probert took 73rd place after shooting a 149 in the first and dropping to a 143 in the second round. She finished with a 292, +148.

Glasgow loses Feezell, Koski, Hoerster and Palm to graduation but looks to return all other golfers with some young athletes moving up to high school competition.
