Lustre Boys Win Eastern C Divisional

Frazer, Hinsdale, Nashua and Lustre Advance Athletes to State

The Lustre boys track team topped the Eastern C Divisional Meet held in Wolf Point May 16 with 97 team points. The Nashua boys placed seventh with 32 points. Hinsdale scored 7 points for 14th place followed by Frazer in 15th with 5 team points.

Hinsdale scored 35 team points in the girls competition for seventh place while Nashua finished in 13th place with 2 points. Scobey won the girls meet with 118 points.

Frazer

The Frazer boys set four personal records and the girls set one personal best.

Boys

Gabe Beston advanced to the state meet with a fifth place showing in the 1600 meters in Wolf Point. He ran a personal best 5:12.70. He finished seventh, just missing a State slot, in the 3200 meters with a personal best 11:29.99 time.

Ty Fourstar placed eighth in the 110m hurdles with a personal best 20.86 and 10th in the 300m hurdles at 49.76.

Beston, Christopher Fox, Joseph Beston and Travis Long ran a 54.82 in the 4x100 relay for 13th place.

J. Beston qualified in the shot put with a 39-06.00 throw and fifth place. He took 10th in the discus with a personal best 105-05 throw. Fox placed 14th at 88-03. Fourstar threw a personal best 145-03 in the javelin for seventh place, just missing a State berth. Fox placed 16th with a 105-02 throw.

Fourstar tied for 10th in the high jump after clearing 5-04.00. He qualified for State in the long jump with a sixth place showing and a 19-01.50 jump.

Girls

Maci Fourstar-Sibley ran a 7:04.83 in the 1600 meters for 12th and a 15:33.72 in the 3200 meters for ninth place. Aubrey Mail ran a personal best 19:27.98 in the 3200 meters for 14th place.

Fourstar-Sibley, Baily Beston, Isabelle Even and Lola Romero took 10th in the 4x100 relay with a 1:01.12 time.

Hinsdale

The Hinsdale boys set two personal records and the girls established three personal bests at the Eastern C Divisional.

Boys

Linden Holt placed 12th in the 3200 meters with a 13:50.84 time.

Jaydeen Hanshew, Kade Strommen, Holt and Coy Bowman combined for a 51.91 and 12th place showing in the 4x100 relay.

Hanshew set a personal record in the javelin at 129-08 and finished in 12th place.

Strommen tied for second in the pole vault with a 12-00.00 vault and qualified for the State meet.

Bowman hit a 37-01.75 in the triple jump for a personal record and ninth place. Strommen took 12th with a 35-07.50 distance.

Girls

CharLee McColly placed eighth in the 100 meters with a 14.05 time.

Zora Holt qualified for state in the 1600 meters at 5:57.73 time and a second place finish. She also qualified in the 3200 meters with a third place finish and a 12:59.35 time.

Addison Idler, McColly, Layna Jones and Holt ran a 58.53 in the 4x100 relay for ninth place.

McColly won the shot put with a personal best 35-01.50 throw. Lyli Bear threw 25-07.25 for 16th place. K. McColly took seventh in the discus at 82-11. Jones threw 69-09 for 12th followed directly by Bear in 13th with a 66-05 throw.

BaiLee McColly qualified for State in the javelin with a fifth place finish and a 114-10 throw, a personal record. She also took fourth in the high jump at 5-00.00 for another State slot.

C. McColly placed third in the pole vault with a personal best height of 8-00.00 for a spot at State. Idler took 12th at 5-06.00 and Holt vaulted 5-00.00 for 13th place.

Lustre

The Lion boys set eight personal records in Wolf Point.

Boys

Terran Joseph took third in the 100 meters for a spot at State with an 11.66 Brian Guedes finished 12th at 12.56. Joseph won the 200 meters with a personal best 22.88 while Byron Ewing ran a 25.20 for 13th place. Joseph also won the 400 meters with a 51.53 time. Ewing just missed a State slot with a seventh place finish at 55.54.

Diek Olfert placed fourth in the 800 meters and earned a spot at State with a personal best 2:11.30 time. Hadden Olfert ran a personal best 2:21.04 for 10th place and Clay Reddig took 13th at 2:30.79.

Prestyn Klatt won both the 1600 meters and 3200 meters with new personal records. He ran a 4:48.65 in the 1600 and a 10:50.78 in the 3200 meters to compete at State. D. Olfert took 14th in the 1600 meters at 5:33.44 and Cayden Klatt placed 13th in the 3200 meters with a 14:36.80 time.

Johnslee Pierre set a personal record in the 110m hurdles at 16.03 and qualified for State with a second place showing. Cam Reddig, in the 300m hurdles, just missed the podium with a personal best 48.72 and a seventh place finish.

Emeka Aniobi, Ewing, Guedes and Joseph took second in the 4x100 relay for a spot at State with a 45.72 time. Guedes, Ewing, Joseph and Pierre won the 4x400 relay at 3:33.43 to compete at the final meet of the season.

Mason Hilkemann took seventh in both the shot put and discus in Wolf Point. He threw 39-00.25 in the shot put and 108-03 in the discus.

Cl. Reddig tied for 10th in high jump at 5-04.00. Pierre won the long jump at 21-04.50 and will be joined at State by Guedes who took fifth at 19-01.50. Pierre set a personal record in the triple jump for second place at 44.07.50. Cam Reddig took sixth for a spot at State at 38-05.25.

Girls

Abby Olfert placed 15th in the 100 meters at 14.77. She also took 13th in the 200 meters with a 30.40 time.

Lauryn Holzrichter, Jaden Gibson, Rachel Pew and Olfert ran a 58.46 in the 4x100 relay for eighth place.

Holzrichter took 10th in the high jump after clearing 4-02.00. She also placed 12th in the triple jump with a 27-07.50 distance. Olfert jumped 12-04.00 in the long jump for 13th place.

Nashua

The Nashua boys set seven personal records in Wolf Point while the girls established two new personal bests.

Boys

Charlie Kaasa qualified for State in the 3200 meters with a fourth place finish at 11:24.43, a personal record. He also set a personal best in the 1600 meters at 5:34.56 to take 15th place.

Jackson Abern took ninth in the 110m hurdles at 21.89 and eighth in the 300m hurdles at 48.84, a personal record.

Damon Adkins, Caden Laumeyer, Grady Nielsen and Bubba Pugh took 10th in the 4x100 relay at 49.75. In the 4x400 relay, Abern Pugh, Kaasa and Adkins ran a 4:17.68 for 10th place.

Laumeyer and Nielsen earned a State berth in the shot put. Laumeyer took second in Wolf Point with a personal best 43-06.00. Nielsen placed sixth at 39-04.00. Adkins threw 33-00.00 for 13th place. All three qualified for State in the discus with Laumeyer leading the Porcupines with a 122-06 throw and third place. Nielsen threw a personal best 120-11 for fourth while Adkins took sixth at 109-05, also a personal record. Adkins also set a personal record and qualified for State in the javelin. He threw 153-03 for second place.

Noah Leckie cleared 8-00.00 in the pole vault for eighth place. Pugh took 12th in the long jump at 17-02.75. He also placed eighth in the triple jump with a 37-05.75 distance.

Girls

Katey Dykstra qualified for State in both the 100 and 200 meters with a sixth place showing in each event. She ran a 13.56 in the 100 meters and a personal best 27.91 in the 200 meters. Dykstra also placed 11th in the 300m hurdles with a 56.04 time.

Dyllan Bergstrom just missed a State berth with a seventh place showing in the 1600 meters. She ran a personal best 6:22.12.

Dykstra took seventh in the high jump after clearing 4-06.00. She took eighth in the long jump with a 14-07.50 distance. Bergstrom placed 15th in the event at 11-00.50.

The Montana State Track & Field Meet for AA and C will take place Friday and Saturday, May 24-25, at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls.
