Mission Accomplished!

Our congratulations to Sam Morehouse, a newly elected official for the Fort Peck Rural County Water District Board. Though relatively new to the Board, we believe Sam has the potential to be a good board member. We hope all new directors will get up to speed and work to restore credibility to the Board.

Our decision to run for the Board forced the first Water Board election in more than 20 years! We purposely ran for election to raise awareness and expose the truth of what has been occurring at the Water District. Happily, voter turnout was one of the highest on record. In light of multiple conflicts of interest/abuse of power and open meeting violations, the election was not won on the merits of a job well done. Sadly, the campaign revealed how far this Board will go to deceive the public.

A BIG thank you to everyone at the Valley County Clerk & Recorder's Office, as well as to the Office Courier and BS Buzz. Because of you, our interest in informing the public had a far-reaching effect.

Last but not least, our thanks to all those who supported us the last couple months - those of you who understand the personal risks people take when advocating for reform. We will continue to attend FPRCWD Board meetings and offer our feedback. We hope to see you there!
