Glasgow Stockyards Report

The market report for the Glasgow Stockyards on May 9, show 501 cattle sold. Utility and commercial cows brought in $120 to $140; canner and cutter cows $85 to $120 and bulls 4130 to $150 (four head test). The first calf Heifer pairs sold for $3,000 to $3,300.

Koenig Ranch held their 15th annual Red Angus Production Auction, hosted by Francis and Arley Koenig, of Winnett. A total of 34 Red Angus two-year-old bulls sold for an average of $4,179. The top bull sold for $7,750 while the top five average was $6,600.

Thirty Red Angus heifers sold for an average of $3,108 and the top heifers sold for $3,250.

Volume buyers with four were:

Keller Sand Creek Ranch, of Big Sandy

Lund Ranch, of Winnett

Ken and Cyndi Solberg, of Larslan

The volume heifer buyer was Calf Creek Cattle Co., of Sand Springs.

Lot 6, KRP FA Couble Cherry 2864 sired by Buffalo Creek Final Answer, sold to Ken and Cyndi Solberg, of Larslan, for $7,750.

Lot 3, KRP Mega-Mill 2460 sired by KRP Make A Mill, sold to Calf Creek Cattle Co., of Sand Springs, for $7,250.

Lot 38, KRP Mill Excel Chief 2437 sired by KRP Make A Mill sold to Calf Creek Cattle Co., of Sand Springs, for $6,500.

Lot 20, KRP MRM Oly Maker 2932 sired by KRP Malbec Red Mill, also sold to Calf Creek Cattle Co., of Sand Springs, for $6,000.
