The Scottie golf teams hit two meets last week in the final week of the regular season. Glasgow attended the Class B Team Challenge in Shelby April 29 and the Poplar Invite May 2 in Wolf Point.
The boys placed seventh in Shelby at +72 while the girls took sixth at +154. The Scottie boys tied for second in Poplar at +79 while the girls took first at +145.
Eli Feezell led the Scottie boys in Shelby, finishing in an eight-way tie for 17th place. He shot an 87, +15, with a 44 out and 43 in. Connor Koski tied for 25th with an 88, +16. He shot 46 out and improved to 42 in. Carter Hoerster finished in a three-way tie for 27th after shooting a 90, +18. Hoerster shot a 46 out and dropped to a 44 in.
Hank Hopstad tied for 36th with a 95, +23. He shot a 46 out and a 49 in. Coy Nelson finished in 42nd place after shooting a 99, +27. He shot a 51 out and dropped to a 48 in.
Laynee Simpson led the Scottie girls, taking ninth with a 102, +30. She shot consistently, a 50 out and a 50 in. Mia Peterson tied for 13th at 105, +33. She shot a 55 out and improved to a 50 in. Allie Palm shot a 117, +45, for 25th place. She registered a 58 out and a 59 in.
Aspen Probert tied for 26th with a 118, +46. She notched a 61 out and dropped to a 57 in. Annika Smith shot a 119, +47 for 28th place. She put up a 62 out and improved to a 57 in.
In Poplar, Feezell again led Glasgow with a second place showing after shooting an 86, +14. He played consistently with a 43 out and in. Hopstad earned seventh place with a 90, +18, after shooting 45s out and in. Hoerster tied for 16th with a 95, +23. He shot 47 out and 48 in.
Koski shot a 96 for 18th place with a 49 out and dropping to 47 in. Nelson tied for 23rd with a 101, +29. He put up a 54 out and improved to a 47 in.
Peterson won the girls event with a 99, +27. She hit a 46 out and a 53 in. Simpson shot a 102, +30, to tie for third. She notched a 50 out and 52 in. Palm finished seventh with a 108, +36. She shot a 51 out and a 57 in.
Amelia Gilchrist shot a 124, +52, for 10th place. She scored a 65 out and improved to a 59 in. Dylon Murch shot a 60 out and a 65 in for a 125, +53, and 11th place.
Glasgow was set to host the Northern B Divisional Golf Meet May 7 at Sunnyside, following a practice round May 6, depending on the weather.
