Frazer Track Goes All In

The Frazer track teams attended the Scobey Froshmore Invite in Wolf Point April 23 and the Whitewater HS Invitational April 26. In Wolf Point, the girls scored 6 points to take 14th place while the boys tied for 10th with 14 points. Both teams finished sixth in Whitewater with the girls scoring 31 and the boys 38 points.

The Bearcubs also made appearances at the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 Meet in Glasgow April 29, the Fairview Invite May 1 and the Gene Nelson Memorial Invite May 3 in Wolf Point.

The boys set one personal record and one season record at the Froshmore Meet with six personal bests and one season record in Whitewater. The girls established two personal bests at the Froshmore Invite, and seven personal records with one season record in Whitewater.

The Frazer boys took 16th in Fairview with eight personal records and two season records. The Bearcub girls hit four new personal bests. At the Gene Nelson the boys took 13th with four team points. They boys set three personal records while the girls set one personal and one season record.

Froshmore Invite

Girls

Isabelle Even took 21st in the 100 meters at 15.63 while Aubrey Mail ran an 18.89 to take 38th out of 40 runners. Even placed 11th in the 200 meters at 32.53 and Mail set a personal record at 42.49 to take 20th out of 20 racers.

Maci Fourstar-Sibley took fifth out of nine in the 1600 meters at 7:10.54 and Mail ran an 8:28.69, a personal best, to finish ninth out of nine. Fourstar-Sibley took fourth in the 3200 meters with a 15:41.18 time.

Boys

Gabe Beston ran a 13.50 to take 27th out of 42 in the 100 meters while De'mon Grandchamp took 34th at 15.26. Beston ran a 1:03.53 in the 400 meters to take 13th out of 17 runners. He placed third in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:32.15. Cassius Smoker took 13th out of 13 with a 7:24.28 time. Beston set a new personal best in the 3200 meters at 11:51.61 to take second out of eight. Smoker took eighth at 15:09.07, a season record.

Grandchamp threw 22-01 in the shot put to take 31st of 32 in the event. He took 38th out of 39 in the discus with a 47-02 throw.

Smoker put up a 10-05.00 distance in the long jump to finish 30th out of 31.

Whitewater Invitational

Girls

Even led the Frazer girls in the 100 meters, running a 15.93 for seventh out of 19 places. Fourstar-Sibley was right behind her in eighth at 16.22 followed by Baily Beston in ninth at 16.55. Mail ran an 18.61 for 17th followed by Kalianna Blount in 18th at 19.33. Mail and Blount ran the 200 meters, taking sixth and seventh out of seven respectively, with 44.44 and 47.63 times, a personal best for Blount. Mail set a personal record at 1:35.01 in the 400 meters to take third out of three.

Blount set a personal record in the 1600 meters at 8:10.35 for fourth out of five. Mail ran an 8:55.57 for fifth place. Fourstar-Sibley ran a personal best 15:28.70 in the 3200 meters for second out of three.

Fourstar-Sibley, Beston, Even and Lola Romero ran a 1:04.25 in the 4x100 relay to beat out two other teams for first place.

Beston set a season record in the shot put at 23-11.50 to take 11th out of 20 competitors. Romero took 15th with a personal best 21-09.00 throw. Romero and Beston both set personal records in the discus to take 17th and 18th out 20, respectively. Romero threw 48-04 and Beston threw 47-10.

Boys

Christopher Fox led the boys in the 100 meters with an 11th place showing out of 18 and a time of 14.15. Travis Long took 14th at 14.45 followed by G. Beston in 15th at 14.89. Chase Jackson finished 17th with a 17.08 time. Long took sixth out of eight in the 200 meters at 30.28 followed by Jackson in eight at 37.49, a personal best. Long ran a 1:09.99 in the 400 meters for fourth out of four.

G. Beston ran a personal record 5:25.12 in the 1600 meters for second place out of eight. He won the 3200 meters, beating three other runners, with a time of 12:01.07.

Joseph Beston won the shot put with a personal best 39-05.00 throw. He beat out 19 other competitors. Fox placed 14th at 29-09.00. Ty Fourstar threw 26-08.00 for 17th followed by Jackson in 18th with a 24-06.00 throw.

J. Beston also led the team in the discus, taking eighth out of 21 with an 83-0 throw. Fox finished ninth at 83-00 followed by Fourstar in 10th with a personal best 80-08 throw. Jackson also set a personal record, 75-00, and took 13th place.

Fourstar led in the javelin with a fourth place showing out of 27 and a 119-11 throw. Fox took 11th at 100-05.

Fourstar also placed ninth in the high jump out of 12 with a season record 5-02.00 height. He took sixth in the long jump out of 17 at 16-06.00 followed by Long in eighth with a personal best 15-06.50 jump.

G. Beston competed in the boys 1600 meters, taking 10th place at 5:33.99.

Fairview Invite

Girls

Even led the Bearcubs in the 100 meters, taking 19th out of 29 with a 16.45 time. Romero took 24th at 16.93 and Mail ran a 19.02 for 29th place. In the 200 meters, Romero finished 24th out of 29 at 35.73 and Mail took 29th with a personal best 40.08. Mail also set a personal record in the 400 meters at 1:34.90 and took 14th out 14 in the race.

Romero took 23rd out of 28 in the shot put with a personal best 23-03-00 throw. She set another personal record in the discus at 58-07 and finished 19th out of 22 in the event.

Boys

Long led the Bearcubs in the 100 meters, taking 31st out of 45 with a 14.26. Fox and G. Beston finished right behind him in 33rd and 34th with times of 14.37 and 14.40, respectively. Jackson ran a 16.08 for 42nd place.

Long and Jackson set personal records in the 200. Long ran a 28.81 and took 21st out of 23 while Jackson took 23rd at 34.76. In the 400 meters, Long set another personal record, taking 12th out of 15 at 1:04.78.

G. Beston took sixth out of 16 in the 1600 meters at 5:32.17. Cassius Smoker took 14th with a season-best 6:50.78 time. G. Beston finished second out of six in the 3200 meters at 11:59.22 while Smoker set another season record, and finished sixth, at 14:36.90.

Fourstar set a personal record in the 300m hurdles and finished sixth out of nine with a 52.04 time.

J. Beston led the team in the shot put, taking 11th out of 37 with a 36-01.00 throw. Fox threw a personal best 32-03.25 for 20th and Jackson took 32nd at 24-11.50.

J. Beston also led the Bearcubs in the discus, throwing 100-01 for a peronal record and 15th place out of 41 in the event. Fox took 22nd with a 91-00.50 throw while Jackson threw 74-11 for 30th place.

Fourstar threw 137-01 in the javelin for a new personal record and fifth out of 35 tracksters. Fox threw 95-00 for 22nd place.

Fourstar cleared 5-04.00 in the high jump to take sixth place out of nine. He also led the Bearcubs in the long jump with a 17-03.00 distance, taking fifth out of 20 in the event. Long set a personal record at 15-11.50 and took eighth while Smoker took 19th at 10-10.50.

Memorial Invite

Girls

Even took 27th out of 46 in the 100 meters with a 16.12 time. B. Beston took 30th at 16.39 followed by Romero in 35th at 16.58, a personal best. Mail ran an 18.79 for 45th place.

In the 200 meters, Even ran a 32.63 for 21st out of 34 runners. Romero took 31st at 35.7 and Mail finished 34th at 40.44.

Blount took ninth out of nine in the 1600 meters at 8:57.99.

B. Beston set a season record and took 18th out of 39 in the shot put with a 24-00.00 throw. In the discus, Romero threw 53-08 to take 26th out 36 in the event.

Boys

G. Beston led Frazer in the 100 meters, taking 50th out of 65 with a 14.17 time. Fox and Long took 55th and 56th with times of 14.57 and 14.72, respectively. Long took 26th out of 30 in the 200 meters with a 29.53 and 16th out of 17 in the 400 meters at 1:07.49.

G. Beston also paced the Bearcubs in the 1600 meters, taking 13th out of 32 at 5:41.65. Long ran a 6:38.26 for 31st while Smoker took 32nd at 6:54.56. G. Beston set a personal record in the 3200 meters at 11:50.11 and took sixth out of 20 runners. Smoker took 20th at 15:31.38.

J. Beston again led Frazer in the shot put, throwing 38-02.00 for 10th place out of 55 throwers. Fox took 28th at 31-09.00 and Fourstar threw 29-03.00 for 36th place. Jackson took 51st with a 23-00.00 throw.

In the discus, J. Beston threw 98-09 for 18th out 65 competitors. Fox threw a personal best 91-10 for 26th place and Jackson took 55th at 67-05.

Fourstar took eighth out of 55 in the javelin with a 127-04 throw. Fox took 23rd at 101-05. He tied for fourth out of nine in the high jump after clearing 5-06.00, a personal record. He took 25th out of 55 in the long jump at 16-00.00. Long jumped 14-08.25 for 31st and Smoker took 53rd at 10-09.75.

Frazer enters the postseason this Saturday, May 11, at the 3C District Meet in Wolf Point. Events begin at 9 a.m.
