The Courier
The Hinsdale track teams attended the Scobey Froshmore Invite in Wolf Point April 23 and the Whitewater HS Invitational April 26. Several Raiders competed at the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 in Glasgow April 29 and the team attended the Fairview Invite May 1.
The Hinsdale girls scored 56 points to take third at the Froshmore meet with four personal records and one season record while putting up 10 personal bests and 65 points in Whitewater for fourth place. The Raider boys had two season records and six points for 14th at the Froshmore Invite while in Whitewater they scored 65 points for second place with six new personal records.
At the Top 10 meet both the boys and girls set one new personal record.
In Fairview the boys hit four new personal bests while the girls set six personal records. The Boys took ninth place as a team with 18 points and the girls finished seventh with 35 team points.
Froshmore Meet
Girls
CharLee McColly won the girls 100 meters, defeating 39 other runners, with a 14.04 time. Addison Idler set a season record at 16.68 and took 33rd place. McColly set a personal record in the 200 meters at 29.05 and placed second out of 20 racers. BaiLee McColly ran a personal best 18.48 in the 100m hurdles to take fourth out of 13 in the event.
C. McColly threw 30-00.00 in the shot put to take third out of 39 competitors. Kodi McColly and Lyli Bear tied for 15th with 25-05.00 throws. K. McColly led the Raiders in the discus with a fourth place showing out of 38 and an 84-04 throw. Bear placed seventh at 79-00 followed by C. McColly in 11th with a personal best 72-06 throw. Idler also set a personal record, 52-06, and took 29th place. B. McColly took fifth in the javelin at 84-00 followed by K. McColly in 10th at 78-05. Bear threw 66-00 for 21st place.
B. McColly won the high jump, out of seven competitors, with a 4-10.00 height. C. McColly cleared 7-00.00 in the pole vault for third place out off 11. Idler tied for ninth at 5-06.00. Idler took 23rd out of 32 in the long jump at 10-05.00 while B. McColly took third out of eight in the triple jump with a 28-09.0 distance.
Boys
Linden Holt took 12th out of 13 in the 1600 meters at 6:43.54 and seventh out of eight in the 3200 meters at 14:43.50. He set season records in the 110m and 300m hurdles. He ran a 27.58 in the 110m for fourth out of four and a 59.18 in the 300m for fifth out of six.
Whitewater
Girls
Layna Jones set a personal record in the 100 meters at 16.96 and took 13th out of 19 runners. Idler placed 15th at 17.54. Zora Holt took second in the 1600 meters at 6:28.36 out of five runners and won the 3200 meters over two others with a 13:18.38 time.
B. McColly paced the Raiders in the shot put with a personal best 27-10.00 and fifth out of 20 competitors. K. McColly placed sixth at 26-05.75 followed by Bear in seventh at 26-02.00. Idler took ninth with a personal best 24-07.00 throw.
Bear won the discus out of 20 with a personal best 90-07 throw. K. McColly threw 90-06 to take second. Jones and B. McColly both set new personal records, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Jones threw 75-08 while B. McColly hit 74-00. Idler threw 46-07 for 19th place.
B. McColly threw 80-07 in the javelin to lead the Hinsdale girls with a seventh place out of 19 showing. K. McColly was right behind her in eighth at 79-05. Bear set a personal best at 72-10 for 11th place followed by Jones at 57-01 in 14th and Idler in 18th at 46-11, a personal best.
B. McColly won the high jump over four others after clearing 4-10.00. Z. Holt and Idler took second and third, respectively, out of three in the pole vault. Holt cleared a personal best 6-06.00 while Idler cleared 5-06.00.
B. McColly took fifth in the long jump out of 19 at 13-10.50. Jones set a season record at 11-06.50 for 11th followed by Idler in 14th at 11-01.00, a personal record. Bear also set a personal best at 10-05.00 and took 16th place.
Boys
Jaydeen Hanshew took third out of 18 in the 100 meters with a 13.43 time. Coy Bowman and Kade Strommen took second and third in the 200 meters, respectively. Bowman ran a 28.36 and Strommen hit a personal best 28.45 time.
L. Holt took eighth out of eight in the 1600 meters at 6:57.76 and fourth out of four in the 3200 meters with a 15:23.57 time. He took third out of four in the 300m hurdles at 1:00.42.
Hanshew placed seventh out of 20 in the shot put at 32-09.00 and third out of 21 in the shot put with a personal best 105-09 throw. Bowman took second out of 17 in the javelin at 132-11, a personal record. Hansehw threw 116-11, also a personal best, to take fifth place. Strommen's personal best 90-04 throw earned him 16th place.
Strommen and Bowman tied for fourth in the high jump out of 12 after both cleared 5-04.00. Strommen set a personal record in the pole vault at 11-00.00 to take second out of five. He also tied for fourth in the long jump, out of 17, at 16-06.50. Bowman claimed fifth in the triple jump out of eight with a personal best 35-09.00 distance.
Norm Girard Top 10
Girls
Z. Holt ran a 12:37.95 in the 3200 meters, a personal and new Hinsdale school record, and placed fifth.
C. McColly placed ninth in the shot put at 31-00.25. K. McColly, in the discus, threw 86-05 for eighth place.
B. McColly cleared 5-00.00 in the high jump for fifth place.
Boys
Strommen cleared a personal best 12-00.00 in the pole vault to take third place.
Fairview Invite
Girls
Idler took 26th out of 29 in the 100 meters with a 17.55 time.
Z. Holt set personal records in the 800 meters and 1600 meters, winning both events. She ran a 2:44.68 in the 800 to beat 15 others and a 5:56.17 in the 1600 to outpace 12 other runners.
B. McColly took fifth out of nine in the 100 meter hurdles at 19.39.
Jones, B. McColly, Idler and Z. Holt took ninth in the 4x100 relay with a 1:04.60 time.
K. McColly threw 26-03.00 in the shot put to take 11th out of 28 in the event. Bear took 14th at 25-07.50 and Jones finished in 19th at 25-01.75, a personal best.
K. McColly also led the Raiders in the discus, throwing 80-06 for seventh out of 22 competitors. Bear was directly behind her in eighth at 79-08 and Jones took 11th at 71-10.
B. McColly took eighth out of 35 in the javelin with an 80-08 throw followed by K. McColly in ninth at 79-11. Bear threw 67-07 for 19th and Jones threw 55-05 for 27th place. Idler finished 33rd with a 46-01 throw.
B. McColly won the high jump out of seven competitors with a 5-02.00 height.
Z. Holt and Idler tied for sixth in the pole vault after clearing 6-00.00. The height was a personal best for Idler.
B. McColly took fifth in the long jump out of 28 at 14-05.50. Bear set a personal record at 11-00.00 and took 19th place. Idler tied for 20th with a personal best 10-09.00 jump. Jones jumped 10-05.00 for 22nd place.
Boys
Bowman ran a 13.30 in the 100 meters to take 19th out of 45 runners. Hanshew took 27th at 13.59 and 19th out of 23 in the 200 meters at 28.01.
L. Holt set a personal record in the 1600 meters at 6:14.28 and took ninth out of 16 racers. He took fifth out of six in the 3200 meters with a personal best 13:56.54. He set yet another personal record in the 110m hurdles with a 26.09 time, taking 10th out of 10. He finished ninth out of nine in the 300m hurdles at 1:06.33.
Hanshew, Strommen, Holt and Bowman combined for a 54.40 in the 4x100 relay and sixth place out of six.
Hanshew took 17th out of 41 in the discus with a 97-08 throw. He took 12th in the javelin out of 35 at 113-07. Bowman threw 112-00 to finish right behind him in 13th place. Strommen took 29th with an 85-07 throw.
Bowman and Strommen took seventh and eighth in the high jump, out of nine, both with 5-04.00 jumps. Strommen won the pole vault at 11-06.00, beating three others.
Strommen set a personal record in the triple jump at 35-10.50 and took fourth out of 15 in the event. Bowman earned sixth at 35-06.50.
The Raiders enter the postseason at the 3C District Meet in Wolf Point Saturday, May 11. Events will begin at 9 a.m.
