The market report for the Glasgow Stockyards on May 5 show 371 cattle sold. Utility and commercial cows brought in $120 to $143; canner and cutter cows $85 to $120; young feeding/turnout cows $135 to $178 and bulls $130 to $155.25.
Nelson Ranch Black and Red Simmental and Simmental / Angus Bull Production Auction occurred. A total of 43 bulls were sold for an average of $5,291. The top bull sold for $7,000 and the top 10 average was $6,475.
Volume buyers included Kirkland Ranch, of Fort Peck, with seven bulls and Wittmayer Grazing and Cornwell Ranch, both of Glasgow, with six bulls each.
Lot 5, Black ¾ Simm. ¼ Angus sired by Freight Train, sold to Wasson Ranch, of Whitewater, for $7,000.
Lot 6, Black ¼ Simm. ¾ Angus, sired by Ten X, sold to Rocky Kittleson, of Glasgow, for $7,000.
Lot 61 Red ¾ Simm. ¼ Angus, sired by Red Iron, sold to Larry Stensland, of Wolf Point, for $7,000.
