The Bee Keeping workshop will start at 9 a.m. with Dr. Flenniken’s presentation followed by a focus on basics of beekeeping in the morning (equipment, bee biology, and top ten newbie mistakes)

Lunch will be on your own, and the afternoon session will start at 1 p.m. with spring feeding, splitting hives and swarming prevention, pests and diseases of honey bees – varroa mite management, and how to move a colony.

The meeting is free, but we are asking people to contact the Extension Office to let us know if they plan to attend. We can be reached at 406-228-6241 or [email protected].
