For the week of Feb. 26 through March 2, there were 16 motor vehicle stops, one report of loose livestock, one report of a loose dog, and one report of a missing dog.
For the week of March 4 through March 10, there were 23 motor vehicle stops, two VIN inspections and there were three reports of deer being hit by vehicles.
For the week of March 11 through 16, there were 14 motor vehicle stops, one VIN inspection request, two reports of loose livestock, one report of a deer being hit by a vehicle and one report of a loose dog.
Thursday, Feb. 29
1526 – Reporting party called stating someone has gotten into some of his cars. It looks like it happened about a week ago. There are some really good footprints for the officer to get.
2158 – A suspicious person was reported. It was determined to be the school’s custodian.
2232 – Reporting party stated he blew a tire on his van. It’s off the road and he will get it fixed tomorrow.
Friday, March 1
2126 – Caller reported three cars that have been speeding by. She could not provide a vehicle description because of the yard lights.
2139 – Caller reported a pick up in the lot that has it’s headlights and tail lights on, including flashers. It has been there for about 15 minutes. Officer was unable to make contact.
Saturday, March 2
0844 – BNSF made a courtesy call to state there is a light hanging on the crossing. A crew has been notified and is headed to the location to fix it.
1359 – Female caller reported that while they were traveling east towards Wolf Point, they encountered a van facing west bound with hazard lights on at the side of the road. There are people in the vehicle but it was unknown how many. Information was passed along to a deputy. The deputy drove all the way to Roosevelt County line and did not locate the vehicle.
2232 – Reporting party is frantic, sitting on the side of the road. She doesn’t know where she is. MHP was able to locate the reporting party and helped her to get the intersection. At 2325, the caller made it home safe and wanted to thank dispatch and the person that helped get her home.
2242 – Caller reported her ex-boyfriend came into her house and took her keys, stealing her vehicle. A deputy was notified who went to the house to get more information and look at the door for damage.
Monday, March 4
0146 – RCSO called to let dispatch know they received a call about a trailer that is fully engulfed and the house next to it is beginning to catch on fire. They have an engine enroute. A few minutes later, a deputy called and reported a camper that is fully engulfed and the house next to it is beginning to catch fire. Dispatch advised a deputy; fire department and ambulance are enroute. MDU was called as well as NorVal. At 0210, a female called and said someone called and said someone called her stating her house was on fire. She stated her daughter and son-in-law are now living there.
Tuesday, March 5
1540 – Reporting party stated the Treasurer’s Office transferred her to Dispatch in regard to a missing plate from her vehicle. She stated she wanted to report them stolen, the reason is because she received a final notice for payment for towing from near Dallas, Texas. She stated she has never bene there before so she is not understanding why she is receiving this notice. Dispatch asked if she has checked her vehicle for the plates yet, and she hasn’t. A deputy was advised of the call.
1620 – Reporting party stated he will be coming through with an oversized load this week, most likely on Friday. First he needs to make contact with all of the agencies on the route, then he can get his permits from the State. He stated he will have one load this week and then two next week.
1802 – Caller reported her husband drove past a residence and witnessed a male enter the building. Reporting party stated no one is supposed to be in there since the owner has passed away. The reporting party and her husband have been checking the property. Roosevelt County Dispatch was notified and they will get a Tribal Officer to respond. At 1822, deputy advised he spoke with the male reporting party who told him that he caught a man and his wife trying to kick in the door to the residence. The reporting party chased off the two of them. At 1902, two people were in custody and one was released a half hour later, while the other male was transported by the Tribal Officer.
Wednesday, March 6
1252 – Caller reported she is westbound on Highway 2 and there is vehicle that has been riding the center line and drifting into oncoming traffic since Wolf Point. She is welling to sign a complaint. A deputy was notified who was unable to locate the vehicle.
1339 – Caller stated the female involved with the shoplifting incident about a month ago is in the store. He had spoke to an officer about this and believes there may be a warrant for her.
1358 – A male called in wanting to know if anyone has turned in a set of keys. A description of the key ring was provided.
Thursday, March 7
1220 – A vehicle slide off call was reported. An officer advised the parents are going to try to pull the vehicle out of the ditch.
1733 – Reporting party said there was a trailer that was pulled into her son’s yard. She said who she believed it belonged to. They wanted the trailer moved off the property so they parked it behind the bar. The reporting party said she gave some homeless people permission to stay in the trailer so it’s not vandalized. She’s not receiving harassing text messages from a female stating that the trailer belongs to her man. The reporting party wanted to speak with an officer.
1905 – A business called to see if a wallet was turned in. She stated a male lost a wallet and provided a description of the wallet as well as it’s contents. The male lost it sometime this afternoon. An officer was advised.
2101 – Reporting party reported a dog bite that happened int eh city. Dog does not live at the residence but parents know where the dog lives and that it was vaccinated. Officer will go speak with the owner of the dog.
Friday, March 8

Saturday, March 9
0326 – Caller, who wanted to stay anonymous, reported a truck, with their lights on and music blaring, has been sitting for about an hour. The caller didn’t know who it is, but knows they live there and have done this before. An officer was located who was unable to locate.
2047 – Caller reported a pickup that is racing through Frazer. A deputy was notified who patrolled the area, and was unable to locate anything.
2300 – A deputy had some people come up to him and said there is a suspicious person over by the gas station. A deputy was able to speak with the person and indicated he can’t be hanging out there when it isn’t open.
Sunday, March 10
0305 – Reporting party said there is a man laying in the empty lot between a business and an abandoned building on the north side of the highway. A second caller reported the same thing about 10 minutes later.
Monday, March 11
1745 – Caller reported that both lanes of Hwy 117, mile marker 8 and 9 are blocked by hay. The hay is in a bad spot so you can’t see it as your coming up the hill. Glendive DOT was notified.
Tuesday, March 12
0058 – Reporting party called and said someone was banging on his door and woke him up. He doesn’t want to answer the door because he doesn’t know who it is and they won’t go away. An officer was notified who arrived on scene. Officer advised the person banging on the door was wanting the reporting party to give him ma ride home. Officer then advised the reporting party refused to help and the male left to go find someone to call his wife to give him a ride home.
1241 – Reporting party called stating she got a scam call from a male with an accent, telling her he is with MDU and they are going to shut off the power. She stated she knows this is a scam and he hung up. She didn’t provide any of her personal information but she wants everyone to know this is scam is going around again.
1834 – A bunch of peacocks were reported on Skylark Road. A deputy was notified who stated they will talk to someone about the peacocks. It was determined the animals were free range.

Thursday, March 14
1130 – Reporting party is calling in stating he had gotten gas on March 8. He had paid with his debit card. He was looking at his statement last night and noticed a charge on his card at the same location about 20 minutes after he had used his card and had already gotten gas. He put a lock on his card right away. He doesn’t know how they got his card and he believes it may have fallen out of his pocket when he used his debit card. A deputy advised to start a card for theft.
1414 – MHP Dispatch advised they got a call about a broken-down vehicle, partially blocking the northbound lane. She advised the trooper is out of position. Valley County Deputy responded who stated the vehicle appears to be unoccupied. He was able to get in contact with the registered owner and he will get the vehicle in about 20 minutes.
1500 – Reporting party stated there is a red Peterbilt pulling a Refer. The back brakes are hung up and is fixing to catch on fire. He tried to get the guy to stop but he just kept on going toward town. Officer was able to locate the semi and spoke to the driver. The driver will be going to pull off the road for awhile to let them cool off and hopefully reset themselves.
1623 – Reporting party stating there is a male subject on her property who is a registered sex offender. She advised he is not to be on her property. She said she believes the reason he is there is because his girlfriend or wife’s step father lives there and she comes to visit him. She said he cane come there and drop her off but he is not supposed to be on the property. She wanted to speak to an officer about this. An officer responded who advised the steps the reporting party has to take to get the male trespassed from the property.
Friday, March 15
0922 – Reporting party called to report she can see smoke coming out of the exhaust. Dispatch asked if the truck was running and the reporting party said no. As dispatch was getting ready to page out LRFD, the registered owner called in It was his pickup and everything is fine.
1200 – Unknown female called requesting an officer. She stated she had a complaint: she yelled to dispatch that someone stole her pills and then asked if that make it anymore clearer them. She then wanted to know if she had called Tribal. When notified she had called the Valley County Sheriff’s Office, she hung up.
1544 – Deputy advised he’s on a public assist with a vehicle that has its hazards on.
1636 – Caller reported there’s a man riding a lawn mower. He’s burning the ditch with a torch. He was concerned because it’s windy out. LRFD FC asked to have an officer advised the man to put the fire out. There were no burn permits issued for the day.
2248 – Reporting party stated his vehicle was stolen from his residence, and the keys were in the vehicle. There is only about 20 miles of fuel in it. There were two suspects and a description of what they were wearing was provided. MHP and FBI were notified. Deputy tried contacting the suspects’ phone and it went straight to voicemail. Drone operator also arrived on scene to try and locate the suspects. Officers checked the lot where one of the males is supposed to be living, according to his conditions, however the lot was vacant. Deputy received permission from property owner to search ranch property and buildings.
Saturday, March 16
1605 – Woman reported a car in the ditch. She was advised it was pertaining to a separate call and it had been handled.
