For the week of Feb. 26 through March 2, there were 16 motor vehicle stops, one report of loose livestock, one report of a loose dog, and one report of a missing dog.
Monday, Feb. 26
1605 – Reporting party stated the owner of the storage shed called him and told him the lock had been cut on his storage. When the reporting party got there, he noticed wheels and tires are missing. An officer advised this may have happened at the same time as another situation where the lock was cut on the storage unit.
2131 – Caller reported his friend’s son was involved in a hit and run this evening. A description of both vehicles was provided.
Tuesday, Feb. 27
0657 – Reporting party called stating she is stuck in the elevator. She says the elevator is showing floor two. She tried pushing the door open button but nothing happened. LRFD FC was called and they stated to call the business contact to see if they have a key to the elevator. At 0731, the reporting party called to say she is out.
1129 – Reporting party called stating someone just called her and stated they were going to issue her a new Medicare number but first needed her current number then they would issue another one. She didn’t give them any information and stated there is an office in town and she would go there to see what they needed.
1947 – Caller reported that a semi came up behind her and almost rear ended her. The semi then went around her and is headed towards Wolf Point. A description of the semi and direction of travel was provided. She is willing to sign a complaint.
Wednesday, Feb. 28
1111 – Reporting party called stating he works for a school that was in town for a meeting on Feb. 17. The freightliner was involved in a hit and run in the high school parking lot. There is extensive damage to the bus and a description of the damage was provided. The driver of the bus didn’t notice it until now so that is why it was not reported at the time of the incident.
1423 – Reporting party came into the Dispatch lobby to report an incident. He was driving by when a male driving a pick up pulled out in front of him and almost hit him. The reporting party stated it was done on purpose. The caller stated he doesn’t know who the guy is but has had run ins within in the past year. The reporting party wants the harassment to stop. He states it is getting out of control when this guy will try to hit him with his truck.
1513 – Reporting party requested an officer. Her son is throwing things around and he smashed her television. Officers arrived and detained one adult male.
Thursday, Feb. 29
1006 – Reporting party called to report a reckless driver. A description of where it occurred was provided as well as the vehicle. She would be willing to sign a complaint.
1147 – Reporting party stated their computer was hacked. She has already called her bank and they have closed their bank accounts and are working to make new accounts now. Dispatch advised caller to call the Social Security Administration and provided the phone number to the Helena office.
1526 – Reporting party called stating someone has gotten into some of his cars. It looks like it happened about a week ago. There are some really good footprints for the officer to get.
2158 – A suspicious person was reported. It was determined to be the school’s custodian.
2232 – Reporting party stated he blew a tire on his van. It’s off the road and he will get it fixed tomorrow.
Friday, March 1
2126 – Caller reported three cars that have been speeding by. She could not provide a vehicle description because of the yard lights.
2139 – Caller reported a pick up in the lot that has it’s headlights and tail lights on, including flashers. It has been there for about 15 minutes. Officer was unable to make contact.
Saturday, March 2
0844 – BNSF made a courtesy call to state there is a light hanging on the crossing. A crew has been notified and is headed to the location to fix it.
1359 – Female caller reported that while they were traveling east towards Wolf Point, they encountered a van facing west bound with hazard lights on at the side of the road. There are people in the vehicle but it was unknown how many. Information was passed along to a deputy. The deputy drove all the way to Roosevelt County line and did not locate the vehicle.
2232 – Reporting party is frantic, sitting on the side of the road. She doesn’t know where she is. MHP was able to locate the reporting party and helped her to get the intersection. At 2325, the caller made it home safe and wanted to thank dispatch and the person that helped get her home.
2242 – Caller reported her ex-boyfriend came into her house and took her keys, stealing her vehicle. A deputy was notified who went to the house to get more information and look at the door for damage.
