Filings for County Offices in Valley County will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 11. Special District filings closed Feb. 12.
Four individuals have filed to run in the only contested Special District race in Valley County. The race has two open positions for Director of the Fort Peck Rural County Water District Board. Josh Kittleson, Samuel Morehouse, Mary Kaercher and Debra Steffani have filed for the open positions.
Three persons are currently in the race for the Valley County Commissioner District #3 open position. Michael Carney, Mitchell Willett and Jeff Alsberg have all filed paperwork for the position. Gerald Fischer, who had filed for the Commissioner in January, has since officially withdrawn from the race.
