Courtesy Photo / For the Courier The Glasgow Mite Jamboree held at the Valley Event Center this past weekend was a huge success. The final pairing of the day was the Ice Dawgs Mites vs. Rock Glen, Saskatchewan. These two teams go back to the late 1970s, where Glasgow would often travel north to Rock Glen to practice in their barn when there was no ice in the area. There were also years where players were combined from over the border to form a team. The 2023-2024 teams are: Rock Glen, back row, left to right, Rowyn Beliveau, Don Corcoran, Benjamin Disney, Gavin Straza, Kallen Ellis, Bower Klein, Skyler Knoss, Emerson Poirier; front row, Novalee Prefontaine and Theo Remoue. Glasgow Ice Dawgs, back row, left to right, Katie Kuhlmann, Louis Guhy, Maddux Feit, Oliver Turner and Addie Stringer; middle row, Isaac Guhy, Kjelbea Markle, Benson Rasmusan, Kerrick Kalinski, Taelynn Henry, Abel Krauth and Houston Brooks; front row, Rock Glen's goalie Alyssa Doucet and Ice Dawgs goalie Corban Hystad.
