Law Enforcement Report

For the week of Feb. 12 through 17, there were five motor vehicle stops, one report of loose dogs and one report of a deer being hit by a vehicle.

Monday, Feb. 12

1745 – Caller reported she smells what she believes to be natural gas. An officer arrived who advised there is a slight smell in the parking lot but nothing in the alleyway. The desk attendant will keep an eye out and periodically check on things.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

1038 – Reporting party stated there is a guy with a pickup truck cutting up some wood in her yard and loading his truck with it. The wood belongs to her ex. She tried to call him but he isn’t answering. She doesn’t know who this person is but would like an officer to come out and find out what is going on. A deputy later advised when he got there the reporting party was speaking to the subject. The ex wanted him to come out and get the wood as it belongs to him but since they have a top, he cannot come out and get it himself.

1154 – GPD called stating she has two males in her office wanting to report a scam on a brother who is now deceased. The male states that his uncle was basically cleaned out. They have his phone and have phone numbers as well.

1452 – Reporting party called stating he is getting text messages from his ex again. She is harassing him and it started about a month ago, when he received threats from a male. The caller is tired of this and wants it to stop.

2318 – Reporting party called stating she wanted someone removed from her house because they stole her phone. A deputy was notified who later advised he spoke with tribal. Tribal is heading to the scene and will take care of the situation.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

0734 – Reporting party called stating there is a female that will not leave. He has asked her to leave a couple times but she refuses. She is not supposed to be at the business. The caller advised that an officer stated if she came in again she would be cited for trespass. An officer later advised the female left on her own before he got there. He will be issuing a citation for trespass.

1738 – Caller reported she found a checkbook/wallet laying in the street by the Senior Citizens Center. The caller dropped it off at dispatch. At 1254, the next day, the owner came in and picked up the wallet.

Thursday, Feb. 15

0543 – Reporting party called and reported a female for trespassing.

1059 – An abandoned vehicle was parked and is a hazard. Officers asked neighbors if they knew who owned the vehicle. Owner was not found so a wrecker was contacted to get the vehicle. At 1155, a female called wanting to know if her vehicle was towed as it is not where she left it. Dispatch advised her it had been towed. She was put in touch with an officer to further discuss the situation.

Friday, Feb. 16

0752 – TSA officer at the airport called in requesting an officer for a female with a possible fraudulent identification. Deputy arrived who advised the ID appears to be okay when compared to the information on record. He advised the female to go the DMV to get a new driver’s license.

0948 – Reporting party called stating she had a doctor’s appointment today and afterward she went to the gift shop. When she went to leave she got a pen from the cashier there and then the lady gave her some more pens to take home. When she got home she found a black pen on her deck that was not there before. She finds this very odd and concerning. She would like to speak to an officer about this.

1417 – A citation for trespassing was issued.

1614 – Reporting party called to report a woman that ran out of gas. Her location was off of Highway 55 in Idaho. Dispatch advised the caller he reached Montana.

2229 – Caller is missing some keys on a lanyard. A description of the keys were provided. The keys have been missing for about two days now and he possibly lost them around three different businesses. An officer was advised in case someone turned them into PD.

Saturday, Feb. 17

0226 – Reporting party stated a man just walked into his house like he lived there. The caller had to force him out of the house. A description of male and location were provided. At 0249, another call came in from a neighbor who heard yelling. Dispatch explained they are taking care of the situation. At 0255 a nearby neighbor called reporting a group of people walking by his place. Dispatch advised it may have been officers dealing with someone in his neighborhood.
