Madison Lamb Repeats As Divisional Champ
The Glasgow Scoties are sending nine wrestlers to the State tournament this weekend after the boys placed third and the girls ninth at the MHSA B/C Eastern Divisional Tournament in Wolf Point. The Scottie boys scored 131 team points while the girls put up 49 team points.
Makiya Plummer, Cody Kuka, Tyler King, Khye Gamas, William Kirkland, James Landles and Michael King will represent the Scottie boys in Billings while Madison Lamb and Riley Clampitt will compete at the final meet for the Glasgow girls.
Lamb pinned Baker's Jessica Stark in 5:48 to win her second Eastern Divisional Title. She advances to State in the 138 lbs. category. Clampitt took second in Wolf Point at 145 lbs.
Plummer, Gamas, Kirkland and M. King all earned second place finishes at the boys Divisional Tournament to advance to State. Plummer will compete in Billings at 103 lbs., Gamas 152 lbs., Kirkland 160 lbs. and M. King at 170 lbs. Kuka finished fourth at 113 lbs. and T. King seventh at 120 lbs. Landles finished sixth at 160 lbs., becoming the first-ever state qualifier from Opheim.

The MHSA All-Class State Tournament will be at the Metra in Billings Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 and 10. Gates will open at 7 a.m. Friday with the traditional Parade of Athletes at 9 a.m. followed by the first round at 9:20 a.m. Quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday. Semifinals will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with placing matches at 2:30 p.m. The Championship Finals are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday.
