Scottie Wrestling Enters Postseason

The Scottie boys wrestling team finished their season with a third place finish and 116 team points at the Malta Invitational Jan. 27, while the girls' wrestling team earned 45 points and placed second.

Avery Pedersen topped the girls podium at 120 lbs. after going undefeated in Malta. Riley Clampitt placed second at 145 lbs. and Blake Ozark took fifth at 145 lbs.

On the boys' side, Khye Gamas, 152 lbs., and William Kirkland, 160 lbs., brought home top honors. Cody Kuka, 113 lbs., and Tyler King, 120 lbs., both earned second place finishes. Gabe Munroe took third at 205 lbs. and Joaquin Torres also took third at 132 lbs. Makiya Plummer at 103 lbs. brought home a fifth place showing.

Glasgow also won their Jan. 23, dual in Glendive by a 39-33 score while the girls went 1-0. The win for the boys gave them a 2-3 overall dual record heading into the postseason.

The Boys and Girls Eastern B/C Divisional Tournament will be held in Wolf Point this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. both days with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. The championship round will begin at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday.
