For the week of Jan. 1 through 6, there were eight motor vehicle stops, one report of a loose dog, one report of loose livestock and one report of a deer being dragged off the road.
For the week of Jan. 8 through 14, there were two motor vehicle stops, one report of a missing dog, one report of a missing cat, and one report of a vehicle hitting deer.
Saturday, Dec. 30
0053 – Reporting party said her neighbors above her are making so much noise. It’s so bad that her son has had problems in school of falling asleep during class. She has spoken with the landlord, and he states to call dispatch so there is cause. The landlord also stated there is only an older lady and her two grandchildren on the lease but these people come every night with their baby and other children, staying until 0100 to 0300. The reporting party stated she has tried to speak to them about this problem but they either laugh at her or don’t answer the door. She needs the problem resolved. At 0122, officer advised he spoke with the neighbors upstairs. The kids were all awake and the adults were watching tv while the kids were running around. Officer told them to keep the noise down if they can.
1211 – Calling party states there is an abandoned car that appears to have been in an accident that is on the north side of the highway. She states the other day she and her husband almost hit the car while traveling home and wanted to know if there was a way to move the vehicle off the roadway. Dispatch could not find anything in the cards for the vehicle. MHP was notified and they marked it for towing.
1332 – Anonymous caller stated there is a male in a house that he is not authorized to be in. The male gave the person’s name who owns the house and stated she is in Havre with her daughter. The reporting party stated he informed the homeowner that the other male was inside her place and claims that she said to get him out of her house and keep him out. The reporting party was informed officers would be sent as quickly as possible. The reporting party made statements that he might beat up the intruder or tie him up and leave him to wait for officers. Deputy arrived on scene and has the male in his vehicle. He spoke with the female homeowner and no one is supposed to be in the home. Deputy has the male detained and in the back of the vehicle until tribal arrives. At 1426, deputy advised the tribal officer the male is not allowed on the property and if he comes back, he will be going to jail.
Monday, Jan. 1
1645 – A truck has been parked in the field at the end of the reporting party’s corn field. The caller isn’t sure that it hasn’t moved at all but there is no one around the truck or down by the river. The caller was inquiring to see if it was reported stolen.
1821 – Reporting party called requesting an officer. He is reporting a drug use offense. A deputy was advised who requested Roosevelt County to send tribal.
1845 – The caller reported a little car parked just over the white line on the north side of US 2 facing westbound. The caller almost hit the car. A description of the vehicle was provided and it’s unknown if anyone is inside. Deputy arrived on scene and advised the vehicle is unoccupied and has been parked by Highway Patrol on Dec. 26. The rear passenger window is busted out and there’s open containers in the vehicle. There are also cans in the vehicle that has exploded. At 0941 on Jan. 2, MT DOT called regarding the vehicle and also advised the vehicle has a flat tire on the right rear. At 1853 another caller reported the vehicle as well.
Tuesday, Jan. 2
0121 – Reporting party called and said the upstairs neighbors are banging on things or something. The reporting party states she has to get up and go to work in five hours and would like the noise to stop now. At 0144, an officer advised he spoke with the neighbors and told them to keep it down. He also advised them the landlord was going to be notified due to law enforcement being involved multiple times.
0754 – An individual brought in a cell phone she found on Jan. 1.
1040 – MT DOT called about an abandoned vehicle that is off the road but on the right of way. A description and plate number was provided. They would like the vehicle moved soon as there is snow supposed to come this weekend and the vehicle will be in the way for snow removal. The registered owner was contacted but the number has either been changed or disconnected. The registered owner’s place of employment was called and a message would pass along the message. At 1603, deputy advised they talked to the registered owner and the transmission went out. The deputy pushed it off the road until he can get it moved.
1615 – Caller reported there is an Explorer doing 100 MPH on US 2 between Nashua and Glasgow. The vehicle would not let him pass on US 2. The vehicle is now trying to loose the reporting party in the residential area and turning onto various streets. He is willing to sign a complaint. At 1617, officer advised he located the vehicle.
1611 – Reporting party called in to report her daughter took her vehicle this morning as she had a doctor’s appointment. Her daughter went to the appointment, then went to pick up her meds. However she has yet to return home. The reporting party wants the daughter stopped and the vehicle returned to her. At 2113, it was reported the daughter brought the car back.
Wednesday, Jan. 3
1717 – Caller reported that a male shoved her in the face and tried to take her backpack. She said he’s at the house and he was trying to make her walk in her socks. She couldn’t tell what street she was on but provided a description of what she is wearing. Roosevelt 911 officers requested they send a tribal officer.
1803 – An anonymous woman reported loud music coming from between houses. The caller states that music plays all day long and she provided a name of the person she believes lives in that area. Officer advised they received complaints in the past about his music. At 1813, officer advised he asked the individual to turn his music down. The male said he had a couple of hours according to the city ordinance before he had to turn it down. Officer advised him to turn it down because it’s bothering his neighbors.
2117 – Reporting party called and reported her neighbor across the street for changing his clothes in front of windows with no curtains. She says she has children and they do not need to see a grown man naked. She has had negative interactions with the neighbor over their dogs trying to fight their dogs so she wants an officer to come speak to him about this. At 2138, deputy advised the house is completely dark now. He will go back and talk to them tomorrow earlier in the day.
Thursday, Jan. 4
0807 – Reporting party called stating there is a pick up truck in front of her, that has been all over the road. It has crossed the center line as well as the fog line. A description of the vehicle was provided. At 0815, an officer advised he patrolled US Hwy 2 to MT Hwy 24N and was unable to locate the truck. He called the reporting party and she stated the truck kept going when she turned off at the grocery store. The officer will continue to look for the truck throughout the day as it seems familiar.
1515 – A female came into the dispatch lobby to see if anyone had turned in a brown beaver coat. She states they had left the church on Dec. 25, going to Minnesota and it was in the back of the truck. When they got to Stanley, N.D., they discovered the tailgate was down and the coat was gone. They are now back in Glasgow. GPD didn’t have anything turned in there but will keep an eye out. The female also stated they had emailed MHP about it and will be going back to Minnesota soon so will probably check other places too.
2141 – Caller reported that a female might be locked out of her apartment. He’s not sure. Dispatch offered to provide numbers for locksmiths to pass along. The reporting party said he’d check back on her in a bit to see if she made it inside. The female was contacted later and she was inside at a friend’s house. Dispatch provided the number to the locksmith to the female and notified the male contact was made.
2201 – Caller requested an officer. She has three people there that won’t leave. She said they also went behind the par and tried to serve people. While on the phone, the caller said they went outside. A description of the vehicles were provided. At 2220, officer advised he spoke to a male in one of the trucks who is there to pick up the vehicle for his father. The officer will also talk to the reporting party.
Friday, Jan. 5
0715 – Caller reported that a male is fighting everyone, including his girlfriend and a bunch of other people. She said they are hiding in a trailer. Dispatch tried calling the reporting party pack and there was no answer. When the caller reported this, dispatch could hear a lot of commotion in the background and the caller had to ask someone what the address was there. When dispatch tried to get further information, the caller kept saying “hurry up and get someone there.”
1738 – Caller requested an officer at his residence while he is at his neighbor’s because of his brother “flipping out.” He stated his brother is busting up the trailer. When asked, to his knowledge, the brother does not have any weapons. The reporting party stated the brother came home from his aunt’s in Wolf Point intoxicated and the reporting party is concerned because there is a wood stove inside and it may be knocked over causing a fire while the individual is “flipping out.”
Saturday, Jan. 6
0145 – Tribal Security reported the back door at a location is kicked in. The security supervisor also saw this. Per a deputy, the building is clear and there is no sign of anyone squatting there.
0152 – Reporting party stated the small bus barn door is wide open. She saw a worker around earlier and think he may have forgot to close it. When a deputy got on scene, tribal security was gone and the door was shut.
1536 – A nurse at the emergency room called and stated that they had a patient who was at work and slipped with a knife that cut his finger.
2118 – A deputy performed a building check.
2319 – Deputy performed a few building checks along the businesses on Highway 2.
Monday, Jan. 8
1842 – Caller reported smoke, stating she could smell it first then looked in her rearview mirror and saw it. She was unsure if there was a burn permit or if something was on fire like a residence. A deputy was notified.
Tuesday, Jan. 9
0755 – Caller reported someone ran a stop sign. He swerved to avoid hitting them, then ran into a power pole. There are no injuries. The other driver was taking his kids to school so reporting party got his license plate number and advised him to get his kids to school and then come back. The power pole is broken, the lines are intact and not on the ground but the pole is dangling. Northwestern Energy arrived on scene and 7th St. N from 4th Ave N to 7th Ave N was blocked off until the pole could get fixed.
